1. After a chase: 28-year-old biker stopped without a license - Seligenstadt

(lei) Since Wednesday afternoon, a 28-year-old Harley driver is likely to face legal consequences on suspicion of prohibited motor vehicle racing and driving without a license after he engaged in a high-speed chase with the police. At around 4:45 p.m., the Mainhausen man was said to have been driving his bike on Frankfurter Straße in Seligenstadt at excessive speed in the city center, according to the civil patrol, which then gave chase and signaled the biker to stop.

Instead of complying with this, he is said to have accelerated the bike further and, despite the permitted 50 or 70 km/h limit, drove at more than 100 kilometers per hour. The further escape then took place on state road 2310, where, according to the officials, he was said to have driven at 150 km/h on this route in order to outrun law enforcement officers.

This failed because when he turned onto Dudenhöfer Straße and then onto Diebweg, the game of cat and mouse was over. The reason for this was probably the fact that he did not have a driver's license. The Harley was seized.

The owner of the motorcycle is now also being investigated. He is accused of allowing the 28-year-old to drive without a license.

Witnesses who can provide information about the 28-year-old's driving behavior should contact the police in Seligenstadt on 06182 8930-0.
