Oxford, 25.04.2019 - Harley-Davidson has agreed a long-term sponsorship of the Formula E team Envision Virgin Racing was agreed. The commitment underlines the American motorcycle manufacturer's enthusiasm for electrically powered vehicles and its determination to develop into a leading manufacturer in the rapidly growing e-mobility sector and to communicate the performance offered by e-mobility to a growing global audience.
In fall 2019, the first Harley-Davidson Electric motorcycle, which LiveWire, will be available on the market. For the company, it is the first electrically powered machine in a broadly diversified e-portfolio planned for the near future. Harley-Davidson wants to develop into a leading provider in the field of two-wheeled e-mobility and appeal to a wide range of customers with its electrically powered two-wheelers - from youngsters gaining their first two-wheeled experience to experienced motorcycle fans looking for a performance-oriented riding experience.
