HARLEY-DAVIDSON SHOWS THE NEW MODELS AT MOTORRÄDER DORTMUND 2025
The Motorräder Dortmund trade fair in the Westfalenhallen is the occasion for the two authorized Harley-Davidson dealers Harley-Davidson Pfeiffer Kamen and Münsterland, as well as for the internationally renowned Harley-Davidson dealer Thunderbike, to present their models.
On the large Harley-Davidson booth are used in addition to conspicuous Custom bikes also twelve of the new Harley-Davidson models from the 2025 model year shown.
Special attention is paid to the new Street Glide Ultra, which received the full upgrade this year and is now equipped with the Skyline OS System is equipped. The new Batwing fairing with the LED strips and the high windshield is part of the new model range. Particularly striking are the new Leg shields, which are now slightly more angular. They are now directly flush with the engine on the inside and therefore offer even more protection.
The new colors are of course a particular highlight. Especially with the CVO models Harley-Davidson has once again shown courage.
One thing was on my mind when, before the trade fair CVO Street Glide in Raven Fade have seen. When I took a normal iPhone photo, the paintwork looked completely different from the real thing. It looks much grayer in the photo than it actually is. In fact, it runs from black at the top to a light gray at the bottom - but more black than gray. You have to get that right first. These colors are a real challenge for photographers.
What is missing are the LED lights on the large case - actually a very striking sign of the Ultra. But you don't have to do without them, because I've heard that you can order them for an extra charge. An interesting discovery: the new Leg shields can even be painted ready for the other Street Glide and Road Glide models can be reordered. This means that it is basically possible to retrofit a Grand American Tourer another Super Tourer with leg shields and suitcases.
But it's always nice to see that the Harleys are much more impressive live than in pictures.
The new Breakout has undergone a few changes. The Cockpit became rounder and conspicuous on the Handlebarspositioned - probably in order to driving modes to accommodate. The air filter has been made a little less aggressive. The Breakout is sure to provoke discussion.
An absolute Top highlight is the new Low Rider ST 117 with the High Output Milwaukee-Eight Motor. It has already prompted some of you to blindly place an order with the Dealer of trust to be discontinued. Now with 2-in-1 exhaust, but still more power - thanks to the strong Milwaukee-Eight Motors, with a sporty cam for even more performance.
The result: 173 Nm torque at 4000 rpm. As the motor is rigidly connected to the frame, it has two Balancer shafts to dampen the vibrations.
That's just a short excerpt of what's in Dortmund, it's best to have a look for yourself, the motorcycle show runs from February 27 to March 2.
