Harley-Davidson Bayerwald donates two motorcycles and four engines to the Lower Bavaria-Upper Palatinate Chamber of Crafts
(Schwarzach, September 25th, 2020) On September 19th, Germany celebrated Crafts Day and the Chambers of Crafts showed what their protégés can do. At the HWK Niederbayern-Oberpfalz they were even able to look forward to a gift - just in time for this special day - that will make the training and further education of two-wheel mechatronics engineers even better in the future: two motorcycles and four motorcycle engines.
Harley-Davidson Bayerwald from Schwarzach, in cooperation with Harley-Davidson Germany, is responsible for the extraordinary donation, which was handed over on September 18th. “Our trainees supplement and complete their in-company training in the inter-company apprenticeship training at the Chamber of Crafts in Deggendorf,” says Gerd Eder, Managing Director of Harley-Davidson Bayerwald, happily, “and we know that for thorough practical training, motorcycles are always required the future two-wheeler professionals can practice. We would therefore like to thank the HWK in this way and contribute a little to providing young people with qualified training.”
Christian Pritzl, instructor for automotive and two-wheel technology at the HWK Niederbayern-Oberpfalz, had joy written all over his face: “The future two-wheel mechatronics engineers should not only be able to manufacture anything that has two wheels, they should also be able to repair and convert. That's why donations like this are important to us. Engines, chassis, braking systems and electronics are very complex these days and the best way to understand things like this in training and further education is on the object.”
The donated two-wheelers and V2 engines are of course good pieces made in the USA, after all, Harley-Davidson Bayerwald is the US company's authorized dealer for the Straubing-Bogen district in Lower Bavaria and beyond. The store was opened five years ago in cooperation with Harley-Davidson Regensburg and offers the complete world of experience around America's most traditional motorcycle manufacturer, including used and new machines, fashion and accessories, as well as a modernly equipped workshop on around 750 square meters of space. Six employees in Schwarzach take care of customer requests. “Great team”, “top”, super friendly” are the Google reviews, which result in 4.6 out of five possible stars.
