Harley-Davidson Breakout 117 model year 2023

The new Breakout 117 is probably the most beautiful highlight in the 2023 model year.

The powerful 117 cui engine has the equivalent of 1,923 cm 3 and mobilizes a powerful 101 horsepower in the Harley-Davidson Breakout 117 , which pushes with 169 Nm of pressure from the deep cellar at 3500 rpm. It has been very well received by the Breakout fan community; it is particularly the now larger 18.9 liter tank that immediately catches the eye. The Heavy Breather air filter was installed with the 117 emblem.

The handlebars and the polished stainless steel handlebar risers are now 19mm higher. The Breakout is clearly one of the most beautiful Harley-Davidson models that they are bringing to the road this year. Whether the seating position would be something for everyone remains to be seen, but it looks great.

A lot of chrome makes it shine beautifully in the sun, although a dark version would also look good on it. It's hard to believe, but there are some mechanics who dismantle the beautiful Breakout and do a radical conversion out of it. And I'm not talking about custom bike forges like Rick's Motorcycles or Thunderbike, which you would first think of, there are definitely bikers who have their own, well-equipped garage.

We can't wait to see what's to come when the first converted Breakout models show up at the events. I'm sure the new one will also be there sooner or later.

The Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine

It is currently the most powerful Milwaukee-Eight engine from Harley-Davidson. It pushes hard, can be pulled up very confidently and does the whole thing perfectly. So far it has only been installed in the Cruiser series on the Low Rider S and the ST / ST El Diablo. It's not that the 114 wasn't enough, but the power delivery of the 117 is really good and noticeably different.

The four breakout colors

From summer onwards, traction control will be available as an option

From summer onwards, electronic traction control (TCS) will be available as an option for the Breakout 117. We already know this safety feature from the large tourers and the models with the Revolution-Max engine. There is a 21 inch wheel (130/60B21.63H) with 26 spokes installed at the front and a 240 wide tire (240/40R18.79V) at the rear. It is delivered with the Michelin Scorcher tire.

What is immediately noticeable is that it only has one brake disc at the front, which could be criticized. The right view of the Breakout is clearly its sugar side and so the spoked wheel can be seen dominantly, which makes the matter of the second brake disc worth discussing.

I assume that if Harley-Davidson brings them to us in sufficient numbers, some people won't be able to resist, their new silhouette, with the thick tank and the large spoked front wheel, has something.

The new Breakout will be available from €28,195 in four colors: Vivid Black, Black Denim (+ €540), Baja Orange (+ €540), Atlas Silver Metallic (+ €540).
