Harley-Davidson CEO search process confirmed
Apr. 08, 2025 - MILWAUKEE (PRNewswire) - The Board of Directors of Harley-Davidson, Inc. (the „Company“) (NYSE: HOG) today confirmed that an ongoing search process to appoint a new CEO is underway. This action is part of the Board's succession planning.
The process was initiated in the fourth quarter of 2024 after Jochen Zeitz, the current CEO, expressed his wish to retire in 2025 after five years in the position - subject to the appointment of a suitable successor. The Executive Board has subsequently commissioned a leading international executive search firm with the search. Jochen Zeitz will remain in office as CEO until a successor has been found to ensure an orderly transition of leadership.
The Board of Directors would like to thank Mr. Zeitz for his numerous and significant contributions as CEO. These include the development and successful implementation of the five-year strategic plan „The Hardwire“ (2021-2025), the strengthening of the Harley-Davidson brand and his leadership in one of the most challenging economic environments in the company's history.
