For a good cause: Harley-Davidson Charity Days start on August 13th
Under the motto „Saddle up and help“, committed bikers are once again getting on their bikes this year. motorcycle, to collect donations for children with muscular dystrophy. As part of the „Harley-Davidson Charity Days“ they will be stopping at seven different locations from August 13 to 15 to promote financial support for affected families.
Vienna, 9. August 2021 – Mehr als 10.000 Kinder und Jugendliche in Österreich leiden an der unheilbaren Erkrankung „Muskeldystrophie“. Die Krankheit stellt ihre Familien vor enorme Herausforderungen, sowohl in emotionaler als auch in finanzieller Hinsicht. Seit 1996 touren deswegen jährlich BikerInnen durch ganz Österreich, um Spenden für die Betroffenen zu sammeln. Da schon 2020 aufgrund der Pandemie die „Harley-Davidson Charity-Tour“ leider ausfallen musste, sollen heuer im Zuge der „Charity-Days“ an verschiedenen Orten in Österreich Spenden für den guten Zweck gesammelt werden.
The Charity Days will kick off on August 13 at 9 a.m. at the “huma eleven“ shopping center in Vienna's Simmering district, where the Dado Eldorado Band will also be performing. In addition to huma eleven center manager Sabine Dreschkay, district head Thomas Steinhart and numerous celebrities, including Tony Rei, Yvonne Rueff, Christoph Fälbl, Oliver Stamm, chancellor hairdresser Josef Winkler and Andy Lee Lang will also be there, with singer Luka Babuda in tow.
The two actors Wolfgang Böck and Sabine Petzl have also announced their attendance, as well as representatives of the bicycle trade in Austria KR Ferdinand O. Fischer and the ombudswoman of the charity fund Tina Holmes. The donation handovers in the various locations as part of the Charity Days will be hosted by Alex List in the east and west and Martina Klementin in the south of Austria.
After the start in Vienna, the tour continues to Völkermarkt in Carinthia, where the Tobacco Blues Band will provide musical entertainment and Mayor Markus Lakounigg will hand over a € 3,000 cheque. The next stop is the music festival in the Lipizzaner town of Köflach, where Mayor Helmut Linhart will also hand over a € 3,000 cheque to the initiative.
On Saturday, Europapark Salzburg awaits the bikers with a 4,000 euro donation and from 6 p.m. there will be a stop in the town of Ried, where Harry Prünster and his band will play for the good cause. On Sunday, the stops in Obernberg and Steyr together with the Upper Austria Chapter will be the grand finale of the Charity Days.
