Do good and have fun doing it
The Cologne branch of Credit Suisse (Deutschland) AG and Harley-Davidson Cologne organized a motorcycle ride for a good cause on May 24th
After the great success in 2011, the Cologne branch of Credit Suisse (Deutschland) AG organized another Harley ride in the Bergisches Land with the Harley-Davidson representative from Herz in Cologne on May 24, 2012.
Decision-makers from business and finance in the Cologne/Bonn area who wanted to leave the stress of everyday life behind them for a day on a motorcycle were invited.
The participants included Jörg Potreck, general manager of the Hilton Hotels in Cologne and Bonn, the undertaker and carnivalist Christoph Kuckelkorn and the director Kaspar Heidelbach (“The Miracle of Lengede”, Tatort and many others).
For those who don't own a Harley, the Cologne dealer Karl-Jörg von Herz provided a machine.
On the agenda for May 24th, in addition to the enjoyment of motorcycling in the varied Bergische landscape, was the good deed: The “entry fee” was 99 euros per person and the entire amount went to “Doctors Without Borders”. The aid organization was represented by Dr. med. Wolfgang Spithaler, who also personally accompanied the tour.
Before the start of the joint trip, he gratefully received the donation of 1,900 euros from Ralf Schmitz, department director, Cologne branch of Credit Suisse (Deutschland) AG.
The 19 participants then started their engines and started their day trip in the impressive convoy in bright sunshine. “Next year, together with Credit Suisse, we will of course invite people from Cologne and Bonn who are making a difference in our region to spend a motorcycle day together in the service of a good cause,” promised Karl-Jörg von Herz, Managing Director of Harley-Davidson.
