No more frustration!
Harley-Davidson driving training for those returning to the sport
The house, the kids, the job... There are many reasons to have a license to drive a motorcycle and yet not drive one.
But it is also a fact that many who want to do it often believe that they can no longer do it.
After years of abstinence from motorcycles, the doubts about your remaining riding skills often outweigh the dream bike itself.
Harley-Davidson, recognized specialist in mental well-being, says: No more frustration! The idea: With around 200 re-entry courses with 10 participants each, the motorcycle manufacturer from Milwaukee is offering a program for the 2012 season in Germany that brings male and female owners of a “sleeping” driving license back on the road under professional guidance – on Harley-brand motorcycles, of course -Davidson and of course lots of fun.
Participation is as easy as riding the bikes from Milwaukee yourself: On the homepage of www.harley-davidson.com, interested parties will find “re-entry courses on a Harley-Davidson” as the third lead in the central slide show.
By clicking on the registration button you go to the registration tool, where the nearest participating Harley-Davidson dealer and the desired date are selected as the event location. Because the number of participants per course is limited to ensure the best possible individual support, this is the first time that we have to “step on the gas”.
Once the dealer has confirmed the desired date, you can go to driving training with your own motorcycle clothing, if available. In addition to various Harleys from the Sportster, Dyna and Softail family as well as a secured course area, there are professional instructors who use a cleverly structured training plan to rebuild old knowledge and rebuild lost safety.
Thanks to small groups, the experienced course instructors are able to individually check where each participant is still struggling.
Speaking of shoes: If you don't have your own clothes, you can of course borrow the basic equipment on site. The aim of the campaign is to make it easier to take the step back to owning your own motorcycle, to rekindle old driving pleasure and to remove possible obstacles in your mind. To make the start of the second biker spring easier, the fee for the four-hour professional training course is just 30 euros. So now it's time to take courage, have fun and finally get started again!
