How time is going, the season has just begun and now the planning for the first big Harley-Davidson events is already getting underway again.

Preparations for the bike show are underway in Cologne, the beautiful trophies have already arrived! The team has already received the first registrations, the bike show will be even better, bigger and more beautiful this year, as will many other things that weren't quite complete last year! But the organizers are very active and make every effort. The event costs entry and the prices of the drinks do not suit everyone, but that is due to the venue and cannot be avoided at the moment and the total costs of such an event are enormous. So it's better that way than not at all! And many others see it that way too, after all a considerable number of Harleys showed up at the dancing fountain last year and that's a good thing!

What was recorded in the biker scene with special friends , this year Jimmy Cornett and The Deadmen are there, the band is becoming more successful every year and not without reason, the new CD “THE RIDE” is a great hit.

And in addition to the many other bands, a very special highlight , none other than Michael Schenker (ex Skorpions) will rock the stage as headliner Temple of Rock

THE BIKE SHOW

This year the internationally known journalist and photographer Frank Sander the Harley-Dome Cologne Bike Show , he knows them all, the best Harley events and the customizers anyway. As a renowned journalist, he writes and photographs for all well-known magazines that have the topic of Harley-Davidson on their storyboard.

Olli Hoenig is there with his bike... He has rebuilt his Breakout at home, but it's not finished yet!

The Custombike Show is an open air ride-in competition, you can watch it on Saturday and Sunday around the Tanzbrunnen. This year you can expect a bike shoot, the participants in the bike show will get a professional shot of their bike and every visitor will find the photo studio tent at the entrance and can have their bike photographed by the advertising photographer Ralf Krieger...

“Hey Kölle, do bes e Jeföhl!” (Cologne, you are a feeling) was once the headline of the dialect band Höhner. The people of Cologne – and not just them – love the beautiful city on the Rhine dearly. Is it because of the Kölsch, the only dialect that you can drink? On the majestic Rhine, the pretty old town or at Germany's number 1 attraction, the cathedral? Or maybe it's the relaxed, open residents who happily swing through a “fifth season” and always remain loyal to their FC, which isn't used to much success? Harley-Davidson recommends anyone who wants to find out to visit the friendly metropolis - ideally on the occasion of the Harley Dome Cologne 2015!

On May 23rd and 24th, Germany's fourth largest city will provide the backdrop for this event for the second time. The celebrations last two full days and everyone who doesn't want to miss anything arrives on the evening of May 22nd. The Tanzbrunnen once again serves as the event site with its unique view of the Rhine, the cathedral and the old town. Visitors can expect an even larger trading area than last year: with the variety of accessories, fashion and food stands, everyone will get their money's worth. And of course there is once again a proud fleet of current Harley models on which driving license holders can take a test ride for free.

Everyone who arrives on a motorcycle will be happy about the spacious bike parking areas, which are now closer to the event site. The loungers at the Cologne Beach Club and the new seating islands in the beer gardens, which have been distributed across the event area, invite you to relax. The Harleys modified with a dark look in the Dark Custom Expo, the historic motorcycles in the “50 Years of Electra Glide” exhibition and the large custom bike show, where the most beautiful individualized machines face the strict eyes of an expert jury, provide plenty to talk about. Visitors can also look forward to an extra dose of music. On Saturday evening “Michael Schenker's Temple of Rock” will rock the Tanz¬brunnen stage. The band around the former Scorpions guitarist and the former Scorpions members Francis Buchholz and Hermann Rarebell have, in addition to Scorpions classics, several songs from their brand new CD with them.

It's a matter of honor that not only English but also Cologne sounds will make the Tanzbrunnen stage shake. The event area is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., after which the party continues in the city's many clubs and pubs. One of the highlights will be the big parade on Saturday, with which the bikers will demonstrate against intolerance in traffic. You're guaranteed to get a lot of Cologne feeling when you ride through the city center and over two Rhine bridges.

In addition to music and two-wheeler fans as well as drivers of all motorcycle brands, the residents and visitors of the cathedral city are also warmly welcome. After the successful start with over 15,000 fans, preparations for the second Harley Dome Cologne are in full swing.

In addition to well-known events, many innovations and a spectacular stage headliner are in prospect.

Cologne, November 26, 2014 – Next year, in the merry month of May, everything in Cologne will revolve around heavy machinery, rich sounds and high-horsepower engines for a weekend. After the successful premiere in 2014, the second edition of the Harley Dome Cologne take place in the Tanzbrunnen on Whitsun weekend 2015 (May 23rd and 24th). Motorcycle fans, families and adventurous visitors can once again look forward to a varied, action-packed supporting program, a custom bike show and a top-class musical line-up.

Because on Saturday evening the headliner “Michael Schenker's Temple of Rock” bring the Tanzbrunnen stage to a boil. The band around the former Scorpions guitarist and the also former Scorpions musicians Francis Buchholz (bass) and Hermann Rarebell (drums) impresses with pure rock and of course has many classic Scorpions anthems in their luggage.

The show is garnished with song treasures by the award-winning exceptional guitarist, who celebrated worldwide success with “UFO” and his solo project “MSG” (Michael Schenker Group) after his Scorpions time. The organizers are organizing two days with a full program for the Whitsun weekend 2015. One of the highlights of the Harley Dome Cologne will once again be the biker parade through Cologne city center.

A good 5,000 Harley-Davidson riders and tens of thousands of spectators on and along the streets of Cologne took part in the demonstration for more understanding and togetherness on the streets in 2014.

In the past, says the Cologne dialect band Brings, times were just super cool, a “super jeilezick” - but today? Today some things are even hotter! At least that was the opinion of around 16,000 visitors who came to the Harley Dome Cologne from May 23rd to 25th to celebrate Harley-Davidson's wonderfully odd birthday in predominantly bright pre-summer weather in the "most northern city in Italy". The company from the USA is now 111 years old - what other metropolis would have been better suited for a birthday party than the one that traditionally takes place on November 11th? announces the 5th season at 11:11 a.m.?

So there was a full weekend program in and around Cologne. It all started on Friday evening in the city's breweries and clubs, where biker specials were put together to match the event.

On the following two days, people crowded together on the event site at the Tanzbrunnen. The numerous stalls selling motorcycles, clothing and accessories were crowded from morning to night, with relaxed and exuberant chatting, celebrating and talking shop well into the night. The free test rides on current Harley-Davidson models were very popular. A large Harley truck delivered 22 test machines and an authentic driving simulator on which contemporaries without a driver's license were able to get a taste of the Harley feeling.

Meanwhile, the fascinating conversions that faced the strict eyes of an expert jury at the custom bike show caused a stir. A strong line-up of bands provided musical entertainment: Ten Years After, Hank Davison, the Blues Brothers tribute band Heart and Soul and local heroes Cat Ballou, Kasalla and Miljö took to the mic on the open-air stage Hand. And because we were in Cologne and were able to enjoy the view of the cathedral and old town from the event site, we naturally sang along and swayed along to the heart of the event.

One of the highlights of the event was the large parade, which was held under the patronage of the Cologne police chief and under the motto “Against intolerance in road traffic”. The acclaimed caravan of 4,000 to 5,000 two-wheeled beauties led over two Rhine bridges and the Cologne Ring on Saturday.

Joining us for the first few kilometers were Bianka and Joachim, a young couple who had tied the knot in a civil ceremony at the event just a few hours earlier, before heading to the cathedral in the heart of the city, where they were married in church .

“Cologne plus V-Twins – that makes for a super thrilling ride,” says Christoph Kuckelkorn from the organizer HKE GmbH. The people of Cologne, the city leaders and Harley-Davidson themselves agree with this without reservation. That's why there will of course be another Harley Dome Cologne next year. 2015 is expected to be celebrated from May 29th to 31st. Everyone who has already experienced the first edition of this successful event will definitely be there again.

The Harley-Dome Cologne event is coming up and the best thing is, we have a good weather forecast for the Cologne weekend.
But you should heed one very hot tip: get your tickets online in advance, there is only a limited visitor capacity for the event area.

Custom bike show Harley Dome Cologne 2014

The first customizer with a big name has registered for the bike show on Saturday at the Harley Dome Cologne event. Aykut Tataroglu from AT American Cycles , known from many Harley meetings and the Motorvision television series, will bring three of his mega conversions with him and show them off.

His Stage III will take part in the Custombike Show, the bike was built at the Biker Build-OFF of the Custombike Show in Bad Salzuflen.

Unfortunately, such a competition also has its pitfalls, none of the two bikes from the Biker Build-OFF started, but that is the requirement for the competition, so there was no winner in Bad Salzuflen in 2013.

Nevertheless, it was a great show, both bikes were very different and everyone had their favorite, but the chances weren't bad for Aykut Tataroglu. Of course the Stage III runs as it should, the frame is custom-made, just like the parameter fork and the Ami compressor that was installed.

A really special bike with more than enough power that we will see at the bike show, it is technically well thought out and just fun to look at. In general, there are many good custom bikes in the Cologne area, so take advantage of the opportunity and register in good time and show your bikes at the show.

During the course of Friday, a personal reception for the arriving motorcyclists will be made possible through cooperation with Cologne hotels.
The selected accommodation options offer specific offers for all price and spatial requirements and can be booked in advance. And since people in Cologne love to celebrate, the event starts in the evening: in pubs, clubs and restaurants between Südstadt and Ehrenfeld, people celebrate Harley-Davidson for the “hundred and tenth”. The event area at the Tanzbrunnen is open from 10:00 a.m. – all-day supporting program

On the event site you will find a trading area with accessories, fashion and food stands, various stage programs, Harley on Tour (free and non-binding Harley test ride), a custom bike show, the ADAC rollover simulator and other activities.

9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. – Line up for the parade
The 1st HARLEY DOME COLOGNE starts on Saturday morning with the star-shaped arrival of all participating Harley riders. The line-up for the parade takes place on the grounds of the Tanzbrunnen and in the neighboring parking lots.

12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. - Demonstration
The parade starts around 12:00 p.m. as a demonstration against “intolerance in road traffic” (further information can be found on the website www.harleydomecologne.de ). The route leads from the Tanzbrunnen over the Rhine bridges and the Cologne rings back to the starting point.

2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. – Stage program
The official stage program starts at 2:00 p.m. with live bands, custom bike awards and much more.

TEN YEARS AFTER
keyboardist Chick Churchill and drummer Ric Lee, the veterans of Ten Years After, have joined the band with Marcus Bonfanti (guitar/vocals), who has already won a British Blues Award, and bass icon Colin Hodgkinson (Spencer Davis, Peter Green, John Lord, Chris Rea) completely reorganized for the upcoming European tour.
The musical treasure chest contains rarities such as “Gong Run”, “Nowhere To Run”, “I Say Yeah” and “Standing At The Station” as well as classics such as “I Woke Up This Morning”, “Hear Me Calling”, “Love Like A Man”, “Good Morning, Little Schoolgirl”, “I'm Going Home” and “Choo, Choo Mama”.

HANK DAVISON
Back to the roots… The old master of biker rock is walking solo paths.
With well over 1,000 concerts, Hank Davison has earned a permanent place in the international motorcycle scene over the years. He has appeared on stage with ZZ Top, Meat Loaf, Whitesnake, the Scorpions and Rory Gallagher, among others. Without any big gestures or wild posturing, Hank Davison puts on a one-man show that is well done.
What he needs in addition to his guitars is what he has under his beard: his distinctive, smoky, hoarse voice! He fills the stage of his Unplugged tour with every fiber of his creaking vocal cords and leads his guests musically from “Bad Moon Rising” to “Midnight Special” to pearls from the blues cradle such as “Long as I can see” from 1906, accompanied from the announcement: “The boys could make really great music back then.” With his current program, Hank Davison goes back to the roots of country blues. Traditional songs alternate with their own compositions - the voice supported only by an acoustic guitar. Rock'n'Roll in its most original form.

Blues Brothers tribute band “HEART & SOUL”
When razor-sharp brass sections, crashing guitars and grooving drums paired with a pulsating bass boom out of the speakers and the blues brothers enter the stage in their black suits, ties, hats and glasses, then “ Heart & Soul” “on the move on behalf of the Lord”.

From “Sweet Home Chicago” to “Viva Las Vegas”, from “Everybody Needs Somebody” to “Jailhouse Rock” – no hit from the cult band is missing.

With their tireless live presence and an energetic stage show, the band has made a name for themselves at more than 300 concerts. They were responsible for supporting, among others, Kool and the Gang, the Schürzenjäger, the Bläck Fööss and blues greats such as Big Daddy Wilson, Keith Dunn and Pauline Pearce. Armed with a cannon, the five boys enter the stage and thunder pure rock'n'roll to their audience's ears. Due to high demand, the HARLEY DOME COLOGNE will continue to take place at the Tanzbrunnen on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. The JEEP adventure course is open to all visitors, as is the HARLEY ON TOUR test drive station. The fashion and accessories stands continue to invite you to browse and shop. In addition, a Cologne live music program is offered.

PARADE

Bikers welcome
The feeling of riding a motorcycle is often described as unlimited freedom, and a Harley is not just a vehicle, but rather a way of life!
But too many people are still injured in road traffic and motorcyclists are often exposed to particular dangers. The Harley Dome Cologne therefore wants to take a position
• against intolerance towards motorcyclists
• against violence in traffic
• for more understanding and greater togetherness on the road.
The bikers will present these positions impressively, peacefully and colorfully at the beginning of the 2014 motorcycle season.

The parade is led by various US police vehicles.

The event is under the patronage of Cologne Police President Wolfgang Albers.

ROUTE

Currently planned route: Tanzbrunnen – Deutzer Brücke – city center – Zoobrücke – Tanzbrunnen.

CUSTOM BIKE SHOW
Awards and prize giving in five classes:
• Freestyle
• Modified Harley
• Sportster
• Antique
• Touring
The custom bike show will take place on Saturday, May 24th at the Tanzbrunnen site.
Any custom bike with a Harley background that is operational and ready to ride and can drive to the stand using its own engine power can take part. Registration and entry only takes place on Saturdays between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. at the main entrance to the Tanzbrunnen. All participants will be assigned a stand space. A competent jury of experts evaluates all participating custom bikes.
The respective class winner is awarded on stage and receives a prize in addition to the winner's cup.
More detailed info will follow shortly. Due to space constraints, the number of participants is limited. Around 150 places will be allocated.

Advance sales have begun.
Tickets for the HARLEY DOME COLOGNE on May 24, 2014 are now available via various ordering options and at advance booking offices.
Admission is free for those under 16 years of age.

The day ticket is valid for one person and entitles entry to the event area at the Tanzbrunnen. 10.00 euros plus fees

Priority Tickets
The priority ticket is valid for one person.
It includes entry to the HARLEY DOME COLOGNE and a centrally designated parking space for the Harley at the dance fountain as well as the opportunity to ride in the front part of the parade. With this ticket it is possible to drive in and out of the designated parking areas at any time. 20.00 euros plus fees Note: Due to strong demand, additional parking spaces were rented. Priority tickets are still available while stocks last. Priority parking is reserved exclusively for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. There are further parking options for cars and motorcycles in the immediate vicinity.

Dear friends of the cult brand Harley-Davidson,

The big HD celebrations for the 110th anniversary of the cult brand from Milwaukee are over and what could be more natural than celebrating Harley-Davidson's 111th birthday this year...

We have now opened early bird pre-sales with a limited contingent of priority parking tickets and are working hard to update and complete all information on the website.

A colorful, varied and unique program awaits you on all three days, starting with the “warm-up parties” in Cologne pubs and clubs on Friday evening, followed by the highlight on Saturday: the central event at the Tanzbrunnen with a merchandise mile, Music program, a large demonstration as a parade through Cologne city center and an attractive evening program. On Sunday, our dealer Karl von Herz offers the opportunity to test drive the latest and most attractive 2014 models at his HD dealership on Schanzenstrasse and anyone who wants to go on a great motorcycle tour through the surrounding area can experience it on guided tours of the 5th Season Chapter Cologne . Of course, your physical well-being is taken care of on all days... let yourself be surprised.

By purchasing our early bird tickets with priority parking, you have the advantage of being able to park your bike centrally at the Tanzbrunnen area or park it there again after the parade. It's especially fun in the middle of the party...! The contingent is limited, if the parking areas at the Tanzbrunnen are full you can of course take part in the entire event, but you will not have exclusive priority parking and the “pool position” in the parade.

The ticket price for the entire event is 20 euros (plus 10% advance booking fee) and includes unlimited entry and exit to the priority parking spaces at the Tanzbrunnen area as well as the security of being able to ride at the front of the parade.
A day ticket for the event area costs 10 euros (plus 10% advance booking fee), parking is not included here, but there are numerous options for parking in the Cologne Trade Fair car parks and car parks. Admission is of course free for those under 16 years of age.

You can now order the early bird tickets at www.harley-dome-cologne.de/vvk.php, the tickets will then be sent to you promptly by registered mail (5 euros). After ordering, you will receive a payment request with the necessary data.
