Threewheelin'
Harley-Davidson Frankfurt, Hanover, Wiesbaden and Wetzlar offer Harley trailers
• High-quality trailer conversions for almost all Harley models
• Classic look and modern technology
The history of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle team began over 100 years ago. The sidecars, which were extremely popular in the early years of motorization, transported the beloved and were used for commercial or military purposes. But after trailers were increasingly replaced by four-wheeled alternatives in the 1950s and 1960s, they have now disappeared from the street scene, with a few exceptions. Completely wrong, as Thomas Trapp from the authorized dealer Harley-Factory in Frankfurt says, because a team offers fascinating driving experiences - not comparable with a solo bike and certainly not with a convertible. “Once you get hooked on this special type of biking, you simply won’t be able to let go of riding a sidecar,” says Trapp.
That's why the Hessian and his Frankfurt team are now offering Harleys with sidecars again. It comes from the specialist Champion Sidecars, one of the leading US manufacturers, and dresses almost every Milwaukee Iron extremely stylishly with a third wheel. A boat sits on the sidecar frame of the TÜV-tested and ready-to-drive motorcycle team, whose timeless design fits perfectly with the Harley look . And if you want to enjoy the ride on two wheels, the sidecar and its frame can be separated from the motorcycle in just a few simple steps.
As classic as the Champion sidecar looks, its technology is modern. It has a stable disc and a rainproof cover, its wheel is decelerated by a disc brake, an adjustable spring strut ensures comfort, the connections are simply screwed on - no modifications to the motorcycle are necessary. It doesn't matter whether the best pillion of all, a brave pet, large holiday luggage or a case of beer for the barbecue ends up in the boat: there is always enough space. The 86 kg light sidecar package for Sportster, Dyna, Softail and Touring models is available including plain paint for a price of 13,900 euros - not only at the Harley-Factory Frankfurt, but also at Harley-Davidson Hannover and Harley-Davidson Wiesbaden and Bernie's Harley-Davidson Central Hesse.
