Harley-Davidson Fulda receives a silver medal
in the “Dealer of the Year” competition and
donates 10,000 euros to a good cause with the HOG chapter

(Fulda, September 17, 2020) Who are Germany's best motorcycle dealers? “World of Bike” knows this, because the trade magazine for the motorcycle industry has been organizing the “Dealer of the Year” competition since 2004. In 2020, almost 130 companies competed against each other in the fight for the coveted crown for retail in German-speaking countries. Harley-Davidson Fulda won the silver medal. “The winners and runners-up this year are extraordinary performers, true high-performance companies when it comes to values such as customer orientation, willingness to serve and the will to perform,” said “World of Bike” in explaining its choice.
“Being named one of the dealers of the year is a great honor for us,” said Managing Director Regina Kremer of Harley-Davidson Fulda, “and of course the honor had to take place in an appropriate setting.” Accordingly, the people of Fulda actually wanted to organize a mega party , but due to the corona pandemic it turned into a fine celebration in a small circle.
On September 15th the time had come: Regina Kremer received the silver medal certificate from Klaus Hüttinger, the “World of Bike” publisher. District Manager Marc Frölich from Harley-Davidson Germany also traveled to East Hesse to convey congratulations to the German headquarters of the US motorcycle manufacturer, to pop the champagne corks together with the Fulda team and to toast 21 successful years of Harley-Davidson in Fulda.
At the beginning of the millennium, the committed, then three-person team from Heidelsteinstrasse only had 270 square meters available for sales, storage, workshops and offices, but after various renovations, extensions and new construction measures, there are now around 2,000 square meters - in a bright, inviting atmosphere and including a popular biker bar. “We are grateful for this development, for our 21 qualified and reliable employees and for our numerous, loyal and friendly customers,” admits Regina Kremer.
But September 15th was a memorable day for another reason, because Markus Kremer, Director of the Fulda-Rhön Chapter of the Harley Owners Group (HOG), took the opportunity to give a meaningful message to Elke Hohmann from the German Palliative Foundation (DPS). Hand over check.
“With this gift we would like to help close the gaps in the care of seriously ill and dying people and their relatives,” said Kremer, explaining the remarkable charity campaign. The HOG chapter, which is affiliated with the Fulda dealer and is the largest HOG chapter in Europe with over 600 members, had been collecting donations for a year and Harley-Davidson Fulda did not miss the opportunity to increase the amount to a full 10,000 euros.
The joy of the generous donation was written all over Elke Hohmann's face: "We will use the money to expand outpatient and inpatient hospice work and palliative care in order to enable many people to have a life worth living until the very end."
