The 2024 Homecoming Festival honoring Willie G. Davidson
This year is all about Willie G. Davidson, an icon of the Harley-Davidson world, who celebrated his 90th birthday shortly before the brand's 120th anniversary in 2023. As the former Chief of Styling and grandson of one of Harley-Davidson's founders, Willie G. not only shaped the designs that made Harley a global legend, but also profoundly influenced the culture and status of the Harley-Davidson brand.
The city of Milwaukee itself, home of Harley-Davidson and the Homecoming Festival, has so much to offer. Milwaukee is known for its unparalleled dining, numerous breweries, sporting events, cultural arts and much more. It's a city that welcomes its Harley visitors with open arms.
The Harley-Davidson Museum is a must-visit!
An absolute must for every Harley fan is the Harley-Davidson Museum . There's a deep dive into the history and culture of Harley-Davidson, with a wealth of historic motorcycles, interactive exhibits and memorabilia. A photo in front of the legendary Harley-Davidson hut, the Shed, is also a must for every visitor.
In addition to the museum, there is much more to discover in Milwaukee. The Harley-Davidson Factory Tour in Menomonee Falls is a fascinating insight into the production of the legendary motorcycles . The employees in the engine factory literally exude the spirit, for many it is more than just a job, they are proud of their work, which is why many wear their personal Harley-Davidson T-shirts instead of monotonous work clothes.
Brady Street and Historic Third Ward neighborhood
The lively Brady Street and Historic Third Ward neighborhoods offer a great mix of restaurants, shops and bars, ideal for experiencing local culture. And for beer lovers, Milwaukee, also known as “Brew City,” offers numerous brewery tours, including the historic Miller Brewery.
Milwaukee itself is a city with charm and character, even if the streets are sometimes not quite up to our already very poor standards. There are lots of old, cool buildings and despite a sometimes somewhat featureless appearance, the city is definitely worth a visit. If you're mobile, you shouldn't miss a tour of Milwaukee.

There are beautiful routes outside of Milwaukee that are ideal for exploring on a Harley-Davidson. During a conversation, Bill Davidson Great River Road , one of the most beautiful routes in the USA, which is only about 2 hours from Milwaukee and would be one of his favorite routes.
Homecoming event at Milwaukee Bay
The big homecoming event takes place on Milwaukee Bay in Veterans Park and attracts thousands of visitors. The Homecoming Festival has been an annual event since 2023 and Harley-Davidson has already announced that it will bring great bands to the Homecoming Festival in 2024 to honor Willie G.
This year we're bringing together some of the biggest names in music, entertainment, and events honoring the legendary, Willie G. Davidson.
Harley Davidson
One thing is certain: a visit to Milwaukee is worth it, with or without an event. As a Harley biker you should have been to the mother city of Harley-Davidson at least once, preferably in combination with the event.
There are plenty of accommodations in the city, but I recommend not reserving too late, there will certainly be well over 70,000 Harley bikers in the city. Last year, on Friday and Saturday, over 40,000 people were at the festival site on Milwaukee Bay per evening alone. It is not yet known whether the event will be as big again this year as it was last year on the grounds of the Harley-Davidson Museum.
