HARLEY-DAVIDSON X DYNOJET FACTORY DRIVER KYLE WYMAN DOMINATES THE KING-OF-THE-BAGGERS RACE AT LAGUNA SECA WITH A DOUBLE VICTORY
KWR Harley-Davidson rider James Rispoli secures two wins in the Mission Super Hooligan
MILWAUKEE (7/17/2025) - Harley-Davidson x Dynojet Factory Race Team rider Kyle Wyman continued his dominance in the 2025 Mission-King-of-the-Baggers road racing series, setting a new lap record, leading qualifying and winning the Mission Challenge and both races in a double-race weekend at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Salinas, California. With his Harley-Davidson prepared for the race Road Glide with starting number 33, Wyman has taken six victories in eight King of the Baggers races this season and leads the series standings by a margin of 76 points.

Also at Laguna Seca, KWR Harley-Davidson rider James Rispoli rode a race-prepared Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 ST to a clear victory in the Mission Super Hooligan National Championship Presented By Roland Sands Designs and Powered by Harley-Davidson. Rispoli led qualifying and won both heats of the doubleheader - his first wins in the series.
IN DETAIL
Wyman secures the KOB double victory
Kyle Wyman set the pace in the King of the Baggers field with a new lap record time of 1:27.524 on the 3.602 km Laguna Seca circuit with 11 corners, securing pole position in qualifying on Saturday. Wyman also won the three-lap Mission Challenge dash-for-cash by 1.741 seconds ahead of Indian works rider Loris Baz.

At the start of Saturday's eight-lap King-of-the-Baggers main event, Wyman and Hayden Gillim, rider of RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson, led the field, with Gillim passing Wyman in turn seven on the first lap to take the lead. On the second lap, the race was stopped due to oil on the track after Gillim's bike suffered a mechanical problem. On the restart, Wyman stormed off the starting line and built a 0.5-second lead over Baz, Indian factory rider Troy Herfoss and RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson rider Rocco Landers.

Teammates Baz and Herfoss battled for second place with Landers lurking close behind. On the final lap, Herfoss tried to overtake Baz in the Corkscrew corner but got too far to the outside, allowing Landers to pass him and take third place. Wyman crossed the finish line 2.059 seconds ahead of Baz, while Landers finished third, just 0.083 seconds behind, to claim his first podium result of the season.
On Sunday, Wyman led after the start but was overtaken by Gillim on the second corner. Herfoss and Baz followed closely behind the leaders. On lap four, Bradley Smith, rider of the Harley-Davidson x Dynojet Factory Team, joined the battle for the top positions. Baz and Smith swapped positions several times before both went off the track on lap five. In the final laps, Gillim and Wyman had a 3.0-second lead over Landers, who moved up to third place when Smith and Baz went off the track. On the final lap, Gillim suddenly lost power as he and Wyman went through the Corkscrew corner and Wyman shot past, taking the lead and winning by 1.449 seconds from Landers, with Indian rider Tyler O'Hara third.

„Obviously patience played a big part for me today,“ said Wyman, who now holds a record 24 wins in the King of the Baggers series. „Hayden rode well all weekend. It's a real shame for him, he deserved to be on the podium yesterday and today. I'm just so happy for the Harley-Davidson team that we've been so successful this year. When you work hard at something, good things can happen and you just have to keep going.“
After eight of 14 rounds in the 2025 MotoAmerica Mission King of the Baggers series, Wyman leads the series standings with 186 points, followed by Baz with 110 points, Herfoss with 104 points, O'Hara with 86 points, Landers with 77 points, Smith with 76 points and Rispoli with 63 points.
The Harley-Davidson x Dynojet Factory Race Team returns to the track August 15-17 for the Permco MotoAmerica Superbikes at Mid-Ohio weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course in Lexington, Ohio.

Rispoli dominates Mission Super Hooligans double header
KWR Harley-Davidson rider James Rispoli scored two wins as racers on Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 STs finished on the podium twice during a double-header weekend at Laguna Seca in the Mission Super Hooligan National Championship Presented By Roland Sands Designs and Powered by Harley-Davidson. Rispoli secured pole position on Friday with a top qualifying lap of 1:29.103. That session was red-flagged due to an incident on the start straight when Saddlemen Race Development rider Jake Lewis charged KWR Harley-Davidson rider Cody Wyman. Lewis, who was leading the Super Hooligans Championship before Laguna Seca, suffered an injury and was sidelined for the rest of the weekend.
On Saturday, reigning series champion Cory West of Saddlemen Race Development led Rispoli for the first two laps of the eight-lap Super Hooligan race. On lap three, West got too far to the outside in turn three, opening the door for Rispoli to take the lead. By the sixth lap, Rispoli had extended his lead over West to 1.5 seconds. More than 3.0 seconds behind West, KWR Harley-Davidson teammates Cody Wyman and Hayden Schultz fought a thrilling battle for third place. Rispoli crossed the finish line with a lead of 2.707 seconds to take his first win in the Super Hooligan series. Cody Wyman finished third, just 0.263 seconds ahead of Schultz. Saddlemen Race Development driver Travis Wyman finished fifth.
Sunday's Super Hooligan race began with a dicey situation for Rispoli, as he collided with Cody Wyman as a group of riders went through turn two. Wyman went off the track, while Rispoli stayed on but fell back among the field of 27 riders. West led a tight group in the opening laps that included Schultz, Travis Wyman and Competition Werkes Racing Triumph's Andy DiBrino. Rispoli set a blistering pace to catch the leaders and broke the track record with a lap time of 1:28.455 on the second lap.

He was in fifth place after two laps, overtook DiBrino on lap three and Travis Wyman on lap four to take third place. West, Schultz, Rispoli and Wyman went head-to-head in the final laps. Rispoli overtook Schultz and took over second place on lap six. On lap seven, West and Rispoli swapped the lead twice, with Rispoli making the decisive pass on the eleventh corner. With the lead in the overall standings, West took no risks on the final lap and Rispoli led by 0.255 seconds at the finish, with Schultz 0.441 seconds back in third place.
„Cody and I were glued to each other at the start and I couldn't swerve to the right or left,“ said Rispoli. „I just rode along and hoped the situation would clear up. I put my head down and started a few overtaking maneuvers in places where I felt comfortable with it. But these guys are riding really hard. It just goes to show that the pace is high in the Super Hooligan class. Great to see my teammate Hayden on the podium now too - a great day for KWR and Harley-Davidson.“
With two races remaining in the ten-race Mission Super Hooligan National Championship Presented By Roland Sands Designs and Powered by Harley-Davidson, West leads with 139 points, followed by Lewis with 123 points, Rispoli with 117 points, Travis Wyman with 110 points and Cody Wyman with 96 points. The Mission Super Hooligan National Championship will be decided August 15-17 at the Permco MotoAmerica Superbikes at Mid-Ohio weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course in Lexington, Ohio.
