NEU-ISENBURG (02.06.2021) - Jens vom Brauck and his company JvB-moto don't do things by halves. The special look of the machines from the Cologne-based motorcycle manufacturer is now fascinating the international scene and the highlight is that the JvB bikes are by no means capricious machines that are trailered from exhibition to exhibition, but machines that are built to be ridden.
Until now, Jens’ heart had been set on combustion engines, but when he sat on a LiveWire for the first time at the beginning of 2020, he was immediately hooked. „I was absolutely thrilled straight away. The most impressive thing is the blistering torque from 0 revs - a huge addiction factor,“ describes the custom pro. „The smoothness and the perceived lightness of the drive are also inspiring.
There is no play in the drivetrain, no gearbox, no primary drive, no clutch. The engine is super direct - quasi digital - on the throttle.“ So Jens didn't have to think twice when Harley-Davidson asked him to convert a LiveWire in JvB style that same year. Now the result is on his wheels, it's called The silent Alarm and it really has it all: a look that appeals to passionate motorcycle fans and at the same time comes across as fresh and special.
„I think that in order to reach serious motorcyclists, you have to develop a serious motorcycle design and not distract them with a futuristic plastic look and hubless wheels,“ says the builder, describing his approach. He therefore tried to combine classic lines and proportions with a very modern design language and create a clean, minimalist cafe racer style despite the comfortable seating position.
JvB-moto has completely redeveloped all the essential visible parts for the LiveWire, using particularly light and stable materials such as carbon and fiberglass. These include the tank dummy, the rear seat unit, the front fender, the air intakes and the new front section with instrument holder, headlights and additional headlights in a carbon housing.
If your mouth is watering at the sight of the machine, simply contact Jens and his company. JvB-moto doesn't want to offer parts or kits, but it does want to offer a fine small series of exclusively built machines.
