The publication of information on the Harley-Davidson Low Rider S 117 on the Harleysite, has made waves internationally. The reason for this is that the release of the Low Rider S 117 was not intended at all and was therefore, as in the Contribution mentioned completely unspectacular.

In the process, I came across the pictures and the EU data sheet of the 2022 Low Rider S 117 cui model in the information on the Low Rider S 114, which was simply listed as well.
The H-D media servers went offline for a short time

After the publication on Friday, everything happened very quickly, especially abroad, people quickly became aware of the data sheet. Not everyone immediately recognized that the pictures were also of the Low Rider S 117. Suddenly, US YouTubers were talking about leaked Low Rider S 117 information on the Harleysite. Respect, a man of honor even names the source of his information.

Coming to the actual information, the most noticeable thing about the 2022 Low Rider S model is the new analog 4-inch tachometer with digital speedometer, gear indicator, odometer, fuel level, clock, trip odometer and range indicator. LED front headlights and LED Zeppelin rear lights, the indicators still appear to show the way with the tried and tested bulbs.
Can Adaptive Ride Height (AHR) be ordered as an option?
The fact that the speedometer unit has now been moved to the handlebars has given the tank a cleaner shape. The 2022 model has become a tad longer at 2.365 mm (2,355 mm). The unladen seat height has changed to 710 mm (690 mm). There is a possibility that the Low Rider S 2022 could get the ARH suspension as an option, which is the Adaptive Ride Height system that we already know from the Pan America. This lowers the height of the Low Rider S. On the 2022 model, the rear suspension travel changes from 86mm to 112mm.
If the AHR suspension should actually become available as an option, it would be an announcement in the direction of air suspension and especially bikers with short legs would get a comfortable way of lowering the bike with AHR and thus a secure stand. At any rate, it was well received by the Pan America and works really well.
You can see that the Softail is getting more digital, you don't hear anything about riding mods yet, but they can't be far away from that in the Softail models.
One thing is for sure, this is going to be a hot device and I can imagine that the first reservation lists have already been set up at the dealerships.
Nevertheless, it remains exciting!
