The model maintenance measures
Softail series
The frame of the oil cooler is now made of a particularly robust composite material that is less sensitive to stone chips than the metal used previously.
Touring series
The models Road King Special, Street Glide Special, Road Glide Special, Ultra Limited and the new Road Glide Limited are shown in the Model year 2020 with a tire pressure monitoring system and with the Reflex Defensive Rider Systems (RDRS) equipped.
This technology package of assistance systems adjusts the acceleration and deceleration forces to the available tire grip, both when driving straight ahead and when cornering.
The new assistance systems
The assistance systems are electronically controlled and based on state-of-the-art chassis, brake, and drive control technology. They prove helpful in difficult road conditions and dangerous situations.
While the anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brake force distribution (EBD) were already fitted as standard in all machines in the Touring series, the Reflex Defensive Rider Systems (RDRS) now also include the cornering anti-lock braking system (C-ABS).

The cornering-optimized electronic brake force distribution (C-ELB), the traction control system (TCS), the cornering traction control system (C-TCS), the traction control system (DSCS), the vehicle hold assist (VHC) and the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
For the 2020 model year, Harley-Davidson is equipping the Touring models that have a Boom! Box GTS infotainment system (Street Glide Special, Road Glide Special, Ultra Limited and the new Road Glide Limited) with H-D Connect.
This is a system that establishes connectivity with cloud services and the Harley-Davidson app via the third-generation LTE mobile communications standard.
The latter can be installed free of charge on a smartphone via Apple and Android app stores and includes functions such as navigation and tour planning as well as the display of dealer locations and event venues.

H-D Connect transmits vehicle maintenance data via the H-D app and allows owners to monitor their motorcycle remotely. Further information on H-D Connect can be found from page 9 onwards.
A new black finish is available as an option for the Ultra Limited and Road Glide Limited models in 2020. The numerous dark surfaces ensure a stylish and understated look.
Based on the โChrome Optionโ and the โBlack Optionโ, the customer can choose between six different paint colors or color combinations.
The Road King and Ultra Limited models now have 18-inch wheels at the front and rear instead of their previous 16 and 17-inch wheels respectively.
The upper gearbox cover of the Touring models is now made of a lighter material.
The cockpit cover fitted directly below the Road Glide Special's windscreen will in future be matt black instead of glossy black in order to minimize reflections in the windscreen.
Trike series

The Harley-Davidson Freewheeler and the Tri Glide Ultra model, which have already been equipped with the anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brake force distribution (ELB) for some time, will be fitted with a version of the Reflex Defensive Rider Systems (RDRS) specially designed for trikes in 2020.
