Harley-Davidson presents the new Softail Breakout

With a stylish appearance, elegant finish and numerous exclusive components, this new Harley-Davidson factory custom bike magically attracts attention. The Softail Breakout crouches flat and elongated over the asphalt. In addition to the impressive wheels, the powerful V-twin immediately catches the eye.

This 1690 cc engine is the Twin Cam 103B with balancer shafts, electronic fuel injection and active intake and exhaust systems.

It is coupled to the Cruise Drive transmission with a low-revving sixth gear.

Like the engine and transmission, the Shorty dual exhaust system, which is equipped with a catalytic converter, also has a black and chrome finish.

The V-Twin is rigidly connected to the low-lying Softail chassis. Although this chassis visually represents a homage to the classic hardtails of past motorcycle eras, its concealed spring elements guarantee contemporary comfort and agile handling. Ten-spoke cast wheels rotate at the front and rear in the look of the Gasser hot rods of the 1950s and 1960s.

fxsb-47The glossy black powder coating was removed from every other spoke and the sides of the rim to reveal a silvery light alloy shine.

The chopped rear fender with two-part, polished holders and combination indicators that integrate brake and taillight functions reveal the 18-inch 240 tires.

At the black front end, an extra-wide, stretched fork guides the 21-inch wheel with 130 tires, which is covered by a new, trimmed fender.

Braking comes with ABS as standard.

The rider swings onto a new, low saddle with a removable pillion seat. His boots rest on forward footrests and his fists stretch into the wind on the new 1.25 inch drag bar handlebars.

In addition to the handlebars, the redesigned oil tank, the dip tubes, the brake disc carriers and many other components are finished in glossy black.

Exclusive logos and graphics adorn the tank. Its top has been finished with a black leather strap and a very flat chrome cover to elongate the silhouette of the machine.

The speedometer is mounted on a chrome pullback riser.

The new Softail Breakout will soon be available in the colors Vivid Black, Ember Red Sunglo or Big Blue Pearl at prices starting at 20,895 euros* in Germany and 24,340 euros* in Austria.
