Test period April to October 2017
The test vehicle is the new Harley-Davidson Road Glide Ultra 2017, which has the new four-valve engine called the Milwaukee-Eight. A displacement of 1745 cc provides plenty of propulsion with 152 Nm at 3,250 rpm.
This long-distance test is intended to show us what the engine can withstand, some big tours await the machine, the Road Glide itself is one of the best tourers ever, a new chassis and the Euro 4 Milwaukee-Eight V2 engine are the outstanding news of the 2017 version.

This machine is equipped with a frame-proof, aerodynamically favorable fairing, which makes straight-line stability particularly stable. Its high windscreen effectively relieves even taller riders of the wind pressure.
Two leg shields also provide perfect protection from wind and weather. In addition to two suitcases, each with a capacity of around 32 liters, there is also a Tour Pak with a capacity of around 69 liters available for luggage.
The new twin-cooled Milwaukee-Eight 107 powers the machine. The 1745 cm3 and 67 kW (91 hp) engine is suspended in the frame in a vibration-decoupled manner and is coupled to the six-speed gearbox via a hydraulically operated clutch.
New chassis components at the front and rear make the machine even more comfortable and stable. Dual Daymaker headlights with LED technology illuminate the road.
With the handlebars that are cranked far back, the comfortable seat with passenger backrest and armrest, comfortable running boards and a 22.7 liter tank, the Road Glide Ultra cuts a first-class figure even on long journeys.
Entertainment provides the Boom! Box 6.5 GT infotainment system with navigation and 100 watt audio system. Also on board: Cruise Control and the security system with immobilizer and alarm system.
