MILWAUKEE (09.08.2021) - Harley-Davidson is setting new standards with the introduction of a limited edition of the 2021 Street Glide Special in handcrafted Arctic Blast Limited Edition paint. The company unveiled the machine at the 81st Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
Only 500 units will be available worldwide, with fuel tanks bearing a corresponding serial number.
„With the Arctic Blast Limited Edition of the Street Glide Special, we are building on our reputation for being the best in exclusive factory custom bikes,“ commented Jochen Zeitz, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Harley-Davidson.
The Arctic Blast Limited Edition is offered in a single color variant, namely a deep metallic blue with light blue stripes on a pearly white background.
„Arctic Blast features contrasting stripes that give the impression of movement,“ explains Brad Richards, Harley-Davidson Vice President of Styling and Design. „From a distance, the look is powerfully cohesive, but it also features interesting details that can only be seen up close, such as the blue pearl effect over the white base and the intriguing hexagons in the paint of the fairing.“

The Arctic Blast Limited Edition paint is applied by hand by the specialists at Gunslinger Custom Paint in Golden, Colorado. The team at Gunslinger - nationally renowned painters, designers, artists and manufacturing experts in the USA - has decades of experience as a supplier of paint parts for Harley-Davidson Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) bikes and limited edition paint kits.
The Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special is a hot-rod bagger that combines long-distance comfort and custom style with the superior performance of the Milwaukee Eight 114 V-twin. Key features include the Batwing fairing with split-stream vents to reduce turbulence in the rider's head area, lockable panniers, a Daymaker LED headlight, flat engine guards and Prodigy custom wheels.
The standard equipment includes the infotainment system Boom! Box GTS infotainment system with color touchscreen, navigation system, voice control (when paired with a compatible headset) and audio system including two speakers. The system is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The recommended retail price for the Street Glide Special in the Arctic Blast Limited Edition is 34,495 euros in Germany and 41,795 euros in Austria. The original accessory options include a Chopped Tour Pak luggage rack with matching paintwork.
For the markets in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, 41 units are planned, 14 of which will take to German or Austrian soil.
