Your modified High Output Revolution

Harley-Davidson mounted the V2 in a chassis with sharpened geometry and an active seating position. The dynamic qualities of the engine and chassis are matched by the upgrades that benefit the chassis components, the ABS braking system and the wheels.

In addition, the new Street Rod impresses with an independent, powerful design that borrows from flat track racers and Harley-Davidson 's Dark Customstyling .

The paintwork

The Motor Company offers the Street Rod in the following paint finishes:
Vivid Black
• Charcoal Denim
• Olive Gold

Mathew Weber, Chief Engineer at Harley-Davidson:
“The new High Output RevolutionTM X 750 engine we use in the Street Rod comes with sharper timing, machined cylinder heads and higher compression. It also revs higher than the previous 750 engine.

We designed the chassis to be particularly handy and easy to curve. And the triangle made up of seat, handlebars and recessed footrests ensures that the driver always has perfect control of the machine. We were particularly pleased that the design of the series machine was closely based on the first drafts.”

More torque in the middle and more power in the upper speed range as well as more revving

The Street Rod's has an overhead camshaft and four valves per cylinder. The 60° V-Twin develops around 20 percent more power and 10 percent more torque than the Street 750's engine.

Peak power is at 9,000 rpm and the maximum torque is reached at 4,000 rpm. The engine has been tuned so that there is always a lot of pressure available in the middle speed range between 4,000 and 5,000 rpm, which is particularly relevant in everyday life.

For this purpose, the engineers increased the volume of the air filter and exhaust and used 42 millimeter throttle valves. In addition, modified four-valve heads and camshafts with larger valve lift are used - measures that accelerate the gas exchange and increase the efficiency of the engine.

The compression ratio was increased from 11:1 to 12:1, and the red area on the tachometer only starts at 9,000 rpm instead of 8,000.

Sharpened chassis geometry as well as new chassis components and brakes ensure agile handling

The chassis of the Street Rod was designed to match the performance of the engine. The front wheel is guided by an upside-down fork with a 43 mm dip tube diameter and massive light alloy fork bridges. To achieve agile handling, the steering head angle, which is 32° on the Street, is 27° on the Street Rod.

At the rear, two new spring struts with compensation tanks are used, which ensure first-class and consistent damping at all times.

Compared to the street suspension, the suspension travel increased by 31% to 117 mm. Due to the new spring struts, the swing arm was designed to be slightly longer.

The new seat integrates the driver perfectly into the machine. The seat height is 765 mm. The lean angle increased to 37.3° right and 40.2° left (Street: 28.5° left and right).

In addition, new, forged shift and brake pedals are used in the Street Rod. The alloy footpegs have been set back slightly so that they do not interfere when stopping and place the rider in an engaged riding position, highlighted by the flat drag-style handlebars.

The handlebar end mirrors are foldable and can be placed above or below the handlebars. Harley-Davidson installs Michelin Scorcher tires on the two black 17-inch light alloy cast-spoke wheels at the factory. The dimensions are 120/70 R17V at the front and 160/60 R17V at the rear.

The ABS brake system has two 300 mm brake discs with two-piston brake calipers on the front wheel, which ensure deceleration that is both powerful and easy to control. The Street Rod comes standard with the Harley-Davidson Security System, which automatically activates and deactivates the alarm system and immobilizer.

Dark Custom and more

The Street Rod's engine and chassis offer performance that is simply fun and the styling is in the tradition of Harley-Davidson's Dark Custom models.

The voluminous fork and the massive fork clamps are dipped in black, as is the new, slim cockpit fairing, which is color-coordinated with the paint of the bike but always has a black insert. While the front end looks massive, the look of the rear has been designed to be particularly light, with a perforated splash guard contributing to this. Indicators and taillights use LED technology.

The higher seating position and 17-inch wheels give the Street an athletic silhouette, while details like the new, rounded look of the air filter and sharper exhaust note draw attention to the engine.
