WESTERLAND (25.01.2025) - With wild surf on long beaches, majestic dunes and salty North Sea breezes beneath a seemingly endless horizon, it is Germany's number one island of longing and enchants its visitors with a magical atmosphere. Year after year, hundreds of motorcycle fans who enjoy a very special trip to Sylt come to experience its unique charm for themselves. event that can only be found here: the Summertime Party. More than just an event, it is pure passion and represents a tradition that has been bringing people together since 1998.
When summer bathes the northernmost island of the Republic in radiant light again in 2025, it's time: from Thursday, June 12 to Sunday, June 15, this year on Sylt The party is not just for motorcycle enthusiasts, but for all fans of good vibrations. Once again, the Sylt Chapter of the Harley Owners Group and its sponsoring dealer have put together a packed program with a number of highlights, and the start is already sweet as sugar: at the beginning of the 24th calendar week, the Harley-Davidson Fashion Sylt invites the early arrivals for a slice of cake in the Westerland store.
You can look forward to the first official item on the program on Thursday evening: because last year's Cruise Night put a big grin on the faces of the participants, the „Sylt Express“ will be sailing for them again in 2025. With music and drinks, guests can relax and enjoy the romantic sunset at Lister Ellenbogen. As a maximum of 500 participants are allowed on board, the maritime excursion must be booked separately in advance.
Friday transforms Elisabethstraße in the heart of Westerland into a vibrant main street for bikers. With hot coffee and extensive shopping, anticipation grows for the big party in the new Kursaal. A large biker buffet and an exciting raffle are among the program items that promise a night full of entertainment and unforgettable impressions. In addition to top DJ Ralf Burnett, „Die härteste Tanzkapelle der Welt“, the Frisian live band United4, which has already made it to the semi-finals of the RTL show „Das Supertalent“, will be responsible for this.
The highlight of the weekend is of course the parade on Saturday, when the bikers park their bikes early on the Westerland spa promenade to enjoy breakfast together while listening to live music. At midday, the engines come to life and one machine after another sets off to the applause of countless spectators. Thanks to the road captains of the Sylt Chapter, the parade route leads through the most beautiful locations on the island, eagerly awaited by enthusiastic onlookers everywhere. A stop at Gosch in List is of course an absolute must - the famous snacks, fresh from the North Sea, are simply irresistible. In the afternoon, the excursion ends with music and a cool drink in Wenningstedt, where there is a big raffle among the parade participants.
Afterwards, visitors can enjoy the countless opportunities to unwind on Sylt - whether it's a refreshing dip in the North Sea, a walk along the picturesque dykes or climbing the Hörnum lighthouse. The view of the magnificent nature alone ensures that you can leave everyday life behind you in no time.
The Sylt Chapter and Harley-Davidson Fashion Sylt are already deep in preparations and counting down the days until the island wears black and orange again.
