2014 & 2015 HARLEY DAVIDSON TOURING Recall

Harley-Davidson Motor Company has initiated a recall concerning the saddle bag mounting bracket, p/n 10900009, on certain 2014 and 2015 Touring family models. The vehicles may exhibit problems with the saddle bag brackets, and it is recommended that the saddle bag be secured additionally during use.

Safety Risk
If this condition remains undetected, the saddle bag may from the motorcycle be separated while it is in motion, which may pose a danger to other road users.

Take remedial action!
Owners of affected motorcycles are asked to visit an authorized Harley-Davidson dealer, who will confirm whether their Harley-Davidson is affected by this recall. The dealer will install new brackets. This service will be provided at no cost to the customer. Harley-Davidson strongly recommends visiting a repair shop immediately.

If you take your motorcycle to the dealer for this service, be sure to secure the bags. Some product warranties may have expired, and you may have to pay for the service. Contact your local Harley-Davidson dealer for more information.
