(Oxford, 16.08.2017) This year marks the 20th anniversary of European Bike Week® amidst the picturesque Alpine scenery in the south of Austria: from September 5 to 10, more than 120,000 Harley-Davidson® fans and music enthusiasts will come together at Lake Faak.

Europe's biggest motorcycle event is eagerly awaited every year. No wonder, because the unique combination of fantastic Alpine scenery, breathtaking motorcycle routes, exuberant atmosphere and lots of great live music really appeals to everyone. What's more, there is no admission charge.

This year, Harley-Davidson is even offering another treat for all true motor maniacs with the international Simultaneous Time Trial (STT): the company is inviting journalists from all over the world to compete against each other on a flat track in a spectacular head-to-head race. This extraordinary highlight will take place on a specially designed dirt track oval, a first at the European Bike Week. Each journalist will compete on a Street Rod 750 that has been specially converted for the occasion - the handlebars, seat, tank, exhaust, wheels and tires have all been modified. Incidentally, the engine of this machine also forms the basis for the racing engine of the Factory Flat Track Racer XG 750R.

Without a doubt: adrenaline and decibels reign on the flat track in Faak. Ten Street Rod 750s, reduced to the essentials for the race, will be ready for the battle in the dust and dirt. On Tuesday, September 5, they will be allocated to the journalists by lottery. The riders will first get to know their bikes during training. Those who want to can be instructed by a race pro. On Wednesday, September 6, the rivals will compete against each other in several rounds - including quarter and semi-finals - until the winner is crowned in the grand final. The rider who rides the fastest lap in the final round gets to keep their bike and take it home with them. The highlight: In addition to registered journalists and Harley-Davidson dealers, even brave end consumers can get on the saddle at certain times under the expert guidance of a professional Flat Track School.

Flat Track at the European Bike Week is something no one should miss!
