Harley-Davidson Westpoint says goodbye!
Dear customers and friends of Westpoint,
Unfortunately, we have to give you the bad news today that we will only be a Harley-Davidson dealer until December 31, 2022. Of course, we are sad to lose the Harley-Davidson dealer contract after 20 years with some downs but above all ups, which we were also able to experience with you. We were named Dealer of the Year a total of 4 times, we also took home the title „Bike women of the year“ 3rd place and not to forget the Focus Growth Champion and much more.
We are grateful for the past few years. Grateful that we were given the opportunity to turn our hobby into a profession. Grateful that we were able to realize our dreams and prove that we are masters of our job. After all, in the past we have also made it into the top 10 EMEA-wide in a comparison of retailers.
What happened?
HD's strategy was geared towards growth until the end of 2019. Dealers were to become larger and larger in terms of area. In October 2019, we were told that we should double our sales over the next 5 years. We were prepared - after all, we had only opened an enormous extension at the beginning of 2019.
Back in February 2020 (before COVID), it was suddenly announced that motorcycle production figures would be halved. That surprised us at first. Considering Harley-Davidson's poor supply situation for parts and motorcycles, which had already presented us dealers with real challenges before Corona, this overall situation required us to look at other brands had to.
We had many discussions with the management of HD Germany about our situation, but this did not lead to any results. We then decided to take on the Triumph brand in our building under separate management in order to be able to generate our necessary cost recovery contribution to some extent through the rented space. It was important to us not to violate the dealership agreement.
And we succeeded. However, the blue letter from Harley-Davidson was not long in coming. It is certainly a shame to have to end our life's work like this, but also to have to leave you alone. Over the last few months, we have set ourselves the goal of remaining extremely positive and making the best of the unavoidable, regardless of how difficult the situation was for us.
As the Dalei Lama said: "Nothing is more relaxing than accepting what comes.
When one door closes, a new one opens: We have been able to win over a big player in the two-wheeler market and will be representing the Honda brand as a premium dealer from 2023 in line with the so-called „Dream Dealer Concept“.
We proudly accept the new challenge and look forward to welcoming you to Westpoint with the same team and the same spirit. But of course we will also continue to be there for you, our Harley-Davidson customers, so that you can continue to benefit from our services.

- Sale of young used Harley-Davidson motorcycles
- Sales, repair and maintenance of the Triumph and Honda brands.
