The Open House at the Harley-Davidson contract dealers is a meeting point for everyone who share the attitude to life around Harley-Davidson. The retailers open their goals several times a year and invite you to a special day on the site.

In addition to current information about the latest models, customizing options and the official accessory program, there are the opportunity for test drives at many events. The focus is on the new model years - whether cruiser, touring models. If you are interested, you should not forget your driver's license, because the test drives are very much in demand from most dealers.

In addition, many dealers offer an extensive supporting program: music, DJ or even live bands create a good atmosphere. The physical well -being is usually also taken care of - whether breakfast in the morning, food trucks, grill stations or coffee and cake. EU shifts punitive tariffs by 90 days

Negotiations with the United States get the last chance

On April 10, 2025, the European Union officially announced that the punitive tariffs already decided against US imports, including Harley-Davidson motorcycles, will be suspended for another 90 days. The background is a new escalation in the transatlantic trade conflict after ex-President Donald Trump has again verbally put pressure on Brussels in a much-noticed statement.

President Ursula von der Leyen explains:

“We have noted President Trump's announcement.

We want to give negotiations a chance.

We will conclude the adoption of the countermeasures of the EU, which were supported by our Member States, but put them on hold for 90 days.

If the negotiations are not satisfactory, our countermeasures will come into play.

Preparations for further countermeasures continue.

As I said, all options remain on the table. "

The explanation makes it clear that the EU is ready for de -escalation - but not at all costs. If Washington does not show any substantial movement, new trade barriers threaten that would hit the motorcycle industry hard.

Trump: "The EU still benefits from us."

Donald Trump, commented on the EU's approach as a "delayed admission" that "lived for years at the expense of American industry". He called for the immediate abolition of all European import restrictions - otherwise one will "react faster and harder than they can see".

From a biker perspective, this decision is a sigh of relief - at least temporarily. The tariffs would be a hard blow for importers, retailers and ultimately buyers and everyone who is connected to the Harley-Davidson brand. Now it is on both sides to actually take the negotiations seriously.
