The Harley Dome Cologne took place on June 18 and 19

(Neu-Isenburg, 20.06.2015) Harley called and the fans flocked to Cologne in droves. Around 30,000 motorcycle and music fans paid tribute to the Harley Dome Cologne on June 18 and 19. On the two days of the event, machines of all makes and people with gasoline in their blood were in constant control of Alfred-Schütte-Allee in the Poll district on the right bank of the Rhine, opposite the cathedral and Rheinauhafen.

Die neue urbane Location bot bei freiem Eintritt jede Menge Platz für ein extra-starkes Programm mit Harley-Davidson Vertragshändlern, großer Trader Area für Bekleidung und Zubehör sowie dem Jeep Adventure Trail, bei dem die US-Allradler ihr Offroadkönnen unter Beweis stellten. Führerscheinbesitzer durften sich zwecks test drive and fans of good rock music got their money's worth in front of the large open-air stage: 12 bands provided a festival feeling befitting the occasion.

The street food market offered a number of culinary highlights that are not usually expected at a motorcycle event, while the beer gardens offered cold drinks to ward off the sun, which was scarce on Saturday but blazed down from the sky throughout Sunday. The Poller Wiesen directly adjacent to the event site offered space to relax and enjoy the incomparable Rhine panorama, including the cathedral.

Edelmetall auf zwei Rädern – rund 100 aufwendig umgebaute Unikate – konnte in der Custombike-Show bestaunt werden, bei der die Jurywertung in diesem Jahr um ein separates Publikumsvoting ergänzt wurde. Wer den „Urban Street Pass“ erworben hatte, durfte zudem auf dem Bike über die „Main Street“ stroll - around 5,000 bikers didn't need to be asked twice. „See and be seen“ was also the motto of the big parade, in which around 3,000 bikes rolled through the city center and past the tourist highlights of the cathedral metropolis to the cheers of numerous onlookers.

After the Harley Dome Cologne is before the Harley Dome Cologne: next year, of course, it's party time again in Cologne.
