The cheerful, open and uncomplicated attitude of the inhabitants of this „village of millions on the Rhine“ contributes significantly to their unwavering local patriotism. The people of Cologne love to laugh and celebrate - and festivals like the Harley Dome Cologne, which takes place on June 18 and 19, underlines the nonchalance of the Rhineland metropolis. The event, which is taking place for the third time, is subtitled „Urban Street“ for good reason this time, as the organizers have changed the location of the event. In 2016, the party will be held on Alfred-Schütte-Allee, directly on the right bank of the river Rhine - with a magnificent view of the cathedral and Cologne's urban showcase district, the Rheinauhafen with its spectacular crane buildings.

During the event, the approximately one kilometer long avenue will function as the „Main Street“, where people and machines will be able to see and be seen. It offers plenty of space for motorcycle, accessory and clothing dealers as well as the Jeep adventure course. The free test drives start from the event site on the current Harley-Davidson models and the big parade through the cathedral city, which sees itself as a demonstration against intolerance and violence towards motorcyclists on the roads. An approximately 4,000 m2 industrial hall on the event site is home to the used and small parts market, where anyone who has registered via the website can take part. The Custom bike show will take place here: On Saturday, the most beautiful of the beautiful conversions will be selected by a jury of experts and on Sunday by public voting.

While the adjacent Rhine meadows entice you to picnic in the greenery, artists along the avenue invite you to marvel, beer garden islands to relax and catering stands to feast - from juicy steak from the smoker to spicy salmon prepared over an open fire, nothing is left to be desired at this „street food market“.

In addition to the countless motorcycles, thirteen bands provide the stylish event soundtrack. Eight of them have already won national contests.
Admission to the Harley Dome Cologne 2016 is free. Who with the motorcycle who would like to ride onto the site will receive an „Urban Street Pass“ for 10 euros, valid on both days, with which they can stroll along the avenue by bike for as long and as often as they like and also park there.
