On April 10th there is “Open House” at Harley-Davidson, and the “Harley Factory” Café in Frankfurt starts the open-air season
On Waechtersbacher Strasse in Frankfurt's Fechenheim district, US bike fans will find one of the largest Harley-Davidson dealerships in Europe: the “Harley Factory” in the impressive former production facility of a grinding machine manufacturer. The historic brick hall, which is more than 2,000 square meters in size, offers space for the spacious workshop and the separate sales areas for new and used Harley-Davidson, Buell and MV Agusta motorcycles as well as for the extensive original clothing and accessories program from the three manufacturers. For four years now, customers have even been able to top off their shopping spree in the “Factory” with coffee and cake, because in 2006 Elvira and Thomas Trapp opened a stylish American Café on the cantilevered platform on the upper floor of the hall.
Just in time for April 10th, the open day at Harley-Davidson, the café is expanding the catering area to the outdoor area in front of the impressive industrial monument. In a log cabin with an open tent area, guests are offered a pure biker atmosphere.
The offer includes all types of coffee, American cake specialties, soft drinks and snacks. Up to 100 seats are available. In the future, the opening times will correspond to those of the “Factory”: Monday to Friday, the café is open from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and on Saturdays it is available to guests until 3:00 p.m.
What better way to philosophize about your next motorcycle trip, big holiday tour or events and customizing than with a fragrant cappuccino and a fresh donut? The numerous lavishly restored vintage cars and the lovingly designed decorations are also sure to be a topic of conversation, turning a visit to the “Factory” into a trip into the history of the Harley-Davidson brand.
One of the numerous exhibits that are permanently on display in the impressive hall is a 1:1 replica of the shed in which the Harley-Davidson company history began in 1903. One more reason for a hearty coffee chat at Harley-Davidson in Frankfurt!
