Harley Girls Europe organize themselves via Facebook
That's how it works today! Facebook and WhatsApp are increasingly finding their way into the biker scene. And a large group of Harley girls did that for good. You see more and more ladies driving passionately to the meetings on their Harleys, so I was amazed when Britta introduced me to part of the “Harley Girls Europe” Sportster .
Her Pink Lady is known from various bike shows in which she has taken part.
How the merger works
The Harley Girls Europe has existed since 2015 and has around 821 mostly German-speaking members. Of course, there are only ladies in this closed group who exchange ideas enthusiastically about all sorts of topics.
If you want to go to Harley meetings, a WhatsAPP group is set up especially for this venture and off you go.
Around 50 girls came together in this group for Lake Faak and exchanged ideas via the messenger service.
The special thing about the whole campaign is that the majority of the group doesn't know each other at all and yet they form a close community.
Harley-Davidson connects the girls
The following example shows how special the solidarity is. Melanie W. actually wanted to go to European Bike Week .
While she was still preparing for Bike Week, her mother Geli unexpectedly developed serious health problems and had to go to the hospital. Unfortunately, cancer was diagnosed in an advanced stage and the family quickly canceled their tour to Lake Faak in order to stay with their Geli.
Encouraged via livestream
After information circulated in the group about why Melanie wasn't coming to Lake Faaker See, the Lake Faak group printed 40 white scarves with the words “Geli You can do it” .
On Thursday, part of the Faaker See WhatsApp group met in Schiefling am See . They showed Melanie the scarves via livestream and encouraged Geli.
Harley Girls then to Lake Faak to show the group's connection to Geli with the scarves and symbolically took them around Lake Faak on their Harleys.
A great bond and they actually don't know each other at all, they have come together from all over Europe, from Hamburg , Graz or Düsseldorf, pretty much each from a different city, sometimes alone and also with friends and they then take the time to be with each other to meet the girls and drive
They ride nice bikes, mostly the Sportster and Softail models, but there are also some exciting bikes.
You can say that it works and they have fun doing it, but they didn't want to tell me what they were chatting about in the group. In any case, it was emphasized that there should be a very friendly atmosphere.
In any case, it's a good idea for the girls to organize themselves for different meetings, the next group will probably be at the Summertime Party on Sylt when the 2020 season starts again.
