Successful presentation of the new models at Harley-Davidson Hamburg North

The rush was unexpected, although it is common for there to be increased interest when new Harleys are available to touch. As a precaution, additional staff were brought in for the show day, and the plan was to have the two new Harley-Davidson models available from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Presenting the Sportster Seventy-Two and Softail Slim.

The huge rush took everyone by surprise. It wasn't until 3 p.m. that things quieted down in the Harley-Davidson Hamburg showroom. There was lots of talk about gas, and everyone was enthusiastic about the bikes, with positive comments across the board about the stylish bikes. The Sportster in particular is almost perfect for an off-the-shelf bike. Of course, there was a large selection of other motorcycles from the Harley series, and both new machines and workshop-tested used bikes were thoroughly tested.

The weather isn't ideal for cruising yet, but you could already feel that everyone was itching to finally get back on the road.

Many questions about accessories and individual extras reveal that preparations for the new season are already in full swing. Some want to get their bikes technically fit, while others are also considering a new machine.

It's great that this event takes place in spring, as it gives you the chance to see lots of friends again who you would otherwise only meet when biking or at large gatherings.

Harley-Davidson currently has a promotion „Harley-Davidson Originals“ is underway, and Harley-Davidson dealers are offering used dream bikes with a „used vehicle seal.“ To obtain this seal, dealers must perform extensive, strictly defined inspections on the motorcycle before they are allowed to award the seal.

But that's part of everyday business at the Harley-Davidson authorized repair shop. Everyone should have their bike checked once before the new season starts to make sure that the tires, brakes, battery, oil, and MOT are OK.

Last year, there was a recall campaign for some models. Drivers of imported vehicles in particular should find out whether their bike is one of the affected vehicles. You cannot expect to be contacted by your authorized dealer for a check-up at the workshop if you are not registered there.

Let's hope we don't have to wait too long for the first rays of sunshine before we can say „ON THE ROAD AGAIN 2012“!
