The Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) chapters in the DACH region – Germany, Austria, and Switzerland – demonstrate their commitment to charitable causes every year. They organize a wide variety of campaigns and events to raise funds for social projects and aid organizations. In 2024 in particular, many chapters made impressive contributions through a variety of events. Here are some of the most important activities and fundraising campaigns of the H.O.G. chapters in the DACH region in 2024.
Donations collected in 2024
In December, the Harley Santa Clauses of the Alemannen Chapter Germany rode through Weil am Rhein and Lörrach on decorated Harleys to collect donations. At the Christmas market in Lörrach, they handed out small packages to children and collected money for „Chinderlache.“ Projects such as a clinic clown and beds for children in need were supported. Additional donations were raised through a raffle and auction. Companies in the region also participated. In recent years, the campaigns have regularly raised over €10,000 for good causes.

The Harley-Davidson Charity Tour (HDCT) is an annual event in which Harley riders tour Austria to collect donations for people with muscular diseases.
The annual charity tour visited several cities in Austria and collected donations for people with muscular diseases. The 2024 tour, which took place from August 14 to 18, mobilized numerous participants and achieved outstanding donation proceeds.
-Route: Vienna – Schladming – Linz and other stops
-Donation amount: €280,000
September 2024
Action: Each member donated one cent per kilometer driven. At the end of the season, the total number of kilometers driven was calculated and converted into a significant donation amount.
Purpose: Support for a children's hospice in the Nuremberg region
Donation amount: €5,000
Event: Celebration of the 25th anniversary of Harley-Davidson Erfurt, combined with a large charity event.
Purpose: Promotion of regional projects to support disadvantaged children
-Donation amount: €4,200
Event: „Open House event at the Harley-Davidson store in Ingolstadt with a charity raffle and donation stand.
Purpose: Support for homeless people in Ingolstadt
Donation amount: €3,500
Event: 300 Harleys at the kickoff of the 27th HARLEY-DAVIDSON® CHARITY TOUR on June 15, 2024, in Vienna, Lower Austria, and Burgenland
Purpose: Charity Tour (HDCT) in aid of people with muscular diseases
Donation amount: €4,000
Event: At the open house at Harley-Davidson Bielefeld, the H.O.G. Bielefeld Chapter raised an impressive sum of 344.66 euros collected for the benefit of the association „Mir geht es gut! eV.“ A big thank you to everyone who made this donation possible! 🙌
