It's a beautiful ski resort in South Tyrol, to which Harley-Davidson Bolzano invites you to the Harley preseason. And while we hope for warmer weather and no snow, the organizer hopes for plenty of snow in the mountains of South Tyrol so that the fun can really begin.
Because the snow is needed; without it, it would only be half as much fun. It is one of the most extraordinary Harley events Especially when it comes to riding up the ski slope in March on a Harley that has been specially converted for the mountain. It's not enough just to reach the top; only the fastest in their class wins the big trophy.
Anyone can participate
Anyone who feels like it can take part with their Harley prepared for the track, provided they have registered in good time. No license or special hill climbing certification is required. The starting order will be decided by lottery, giving everyone the same chance of winning the trophy.
However, you have to put in a lot of effort—it's not as easy as you might think! Renowned customizers have built the hottest bikes exclusively for the race here, and the company itself has also taken part. It's a real challenge with addictive potential for the truly crazy Harley mechanic.
What was initially intended as fun can quickly unleash unexpected ideas and energy. When you suddenly find yourself tinkering around for weeks and have screwed every single spike into the tires, at some point you want to win.
Large party tent in a dream setting
The event has grown every year and the entertainment program is usually locally sourced so as not to lose touch with the region. There is always a large turnout of celebrities at the Harley and Snow Event. Whether it's the presenters or autograph sessions, at which Paul Teutul Sr. with Mikey have already been flown in from the USA.
Or motorsport legend Walter Röhrl, These are just a few names, because visitors are always offered something special, such as a Harley raffle.
2020 at a new location
From the March 13 to 15, 2020 The event will take place in the Vals – Gitschberg Jochtal ski resort, a location that presents new challenges. A new ski slope awaits the riders, offering the same and new conditions for everyone to be the fastest at hill climbing with their bikes and be the first to reach the top.
The new location is well suited for a few extra days of vacation.
The Gitschberg Jochtal offers skiers in particular fantastic opportunities, with 55 kilometers of slopes at an altitude of 1,400 to 2,500 meters where snow is guaranteed. In good weather, you can even see the Dolomites. For those in the know, there are 10 blue slopes, 9 red slopes, and 4 black slopes in this region. There are also 3 viewing platforms with breathtaking panoramic views of over 500 peaks and mountains.
In addition, there is cross-country skiing, sledding, and hiking, and there are 22 rustic mountain huts offering specialties and traditional dishes, where you can definitely enjoy yourself.

The Jochtal Mountain Restaurant is one of the hearty restaurants in the mountains that is well worth a visit. In 2016, it was awarded the title of „MOST BEAUTIFUL SKI HUT IN SOUTH TYROL.“.
