Heidelberg-Wieblingen: Rear-end collision with one person slightly injured and significant property damage
Heidelberg-Wieblingen: Three vehicles were involved in a rear-end collision on the road between Edingen and Wieblingen on Saturday at around 3:45 p.m. A 45-year-old motorcyclist was slightly injured, and the property damage amounted to approximately €30,000. The accident was caused by a 22-year-old Hyundai driver who was traveling on the L 637 toward Wieblingen.
When the 45-year-old woman riding her Harley-Davidson in front of him braked due to traffic conditions near the Bonsai Center in Heidelberg, the Hyundai driver rear-ended her. The 45-year-old lost control and crashed. Her motorcycle was pushed into a Fiat driven by a 55-year-old man who was also braking in front of her.
The motorcyclist suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital by the emergency services. All three vehicles were damaged. The impact caused engine oil to leak from the Harley-Davidson, requiring the road to be cleaned.
