Heidelberg-Wieblingen: Rear-end collision with one minor injury and significant property damage
Heidelberg-Wieblingen: Three vehicles were involved in a rear-end collision on the country road between Edingen and Wieblingen on Saturday around 3:45 p.m. A 45-year-old motorcyclist was slightly injured and the property damage amounts to around 30,000 euros. The cause was a 22-year-old Hyundai driver who was traveling on the L 637 towards Wieblingen.
When the 45-year-old driving in front of him braked for traffic on her Harley-Davidson near the Bonsai Center in Heidelberg, the Huyandai driver rear-ended her. The 45-year-old lost her footing and fell. Her motorcycle was pushed onto a 55-year-old Fiat that was also braking in front of it.
The motorcyclist suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital by emergency services. All three vehicles were damaged. Due to the impact, engine oil leaked from the Harley-Davidson, requiring the roadway to be cleaned.
