Herford: (jd) On Saturday (February 10th) a traffic accident occurred on Goebenstrasse in which a 29-year-old wage worker was injured. At around 2:35 p.m. he drove his motorcycle from Fürstenaustraße onto Goebenstraße. Because a vehicle in front of him wanted to pull into a parking space, the wage worker reduced his speed.
Immediately behind him was a 22-year-old from Hiddenhausen driving his VW who was unable to brake his vehicle in time. The VW hit the rear of the motorcycle, causing the 29-year-old to be thrown onto the road. An ambulance was called and he was taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The material damage to the vehicles is around 8,000 euros.
