The Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic 117 The 2025 model combines timeless style with modern performance and is aimed at riders who appreciate the nostalgic flair of classic motorcycles without wanting to forego the latest technology.
The Heritage Classic 117 impresses with its classic design, complemented by modern accents. The leather-covered saddle bags with black nickel rivets and the optional spoked wheels give it an authentic retro look. The LED lighting ensures optimal visibility and visibility. It is a blend of retro and modern technology.
The Heritage Classic will be available in various color options for the 2025 model year. The different colors will be offered in combination with either a black finish or a chrome finish:
- Billiard Gray
- Vivid Black
- Whiskey Fire/Vivid Black (Two-color)

The Heritage Classic 117 is powered by the Milwaukee-Eight® 117 Classic Engine with a displacement of 1,923 cm³ and a torque of 156 Nm at 2,750 rpm for superior performance. The engine is rigidly mounted in the frame, ensuring direct power transmission and an authentic riding experience.
The 2-in-1 exhaust system is compact and lightweight, optimizes performance, and gives the bike a distinctive sound. The rear monoshock suspension With preload adjustment located under the seat, it can be adjusted to different load conditions.
The Heritage Classic 117 offers a successful blend of nostalgic design and modern technology. The 5-inch analog display combines classic style with digital functionality and makes it easier to select the driving modes. Updated manual controls support the integration of driving modes, traction control, and cruise control. A USB-C port keeps mobile devices charged while driving, and the adjustable brake levers enables individual adjustment for optimal comfort.
For me, the 2025 Heritage Classic 117 embodies the perfect symbiosis of past and present. It offers the charm of a classic cruiser paired with the performance and reliability of modern technology. In particular, the combination of the powerful Milwaukee-Eight® 117 engine and thoughtful details such as the leather-covered saddlebags make it a real highlight for lovers of traditional motorcycles with contemporary standards. The first Heritage models were delivered with the agile 107 Milwaukee-Eight engine. That was already a very good combination, and the successor had the 114 cubic inch engine installed until 2024. For me, it was even more powerful from the bottom up. I traveled a lot with this model and wrote a detailed report about it.

Now it has been upgraded once again with the 117 and the new riding modes. It has footboards and, for me, is the motorcycle with the best touring capabilities in the Harley-Davidson cruiser class. Very easy handling, great lighting, and very comfortable.
