The Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic 117 of the 2025 model year combines timeless style with modern performance and is aimed at drivers who appreciate the nostalgic flair of classic motorcycles without wanting to do without current technology.
The Heritage Classic 117 impresses with its classic design, which is supplemented by modern accents. The leather-related saddlebags with black nickel rivets and the optional spoke wheels give it an authentic retro look. The LED lighting ensures optimal view and visibility. It is a mixture of retro and modern technology.
The Heritage Classic is available in various color variants for the 2025 model year. The different colors are offered in combination, with the Black Finish, or the Chrome Finish:
• Billiard Gray
• Vivid Black
• Whiskey Fire/Vivid Black (two -colored)
These paints underline the classic character of the motorcycle and offer the right option for every taste.
The Heritage Classic 117 is powered by the Milwaukee-Eight® 117 Classic motor, which ensures sovereign performance with 1,923 cm³ of displacement and a torque of 156 Nm at 2,750 rpm. The engine is rigidly mounted in the framework, which ensures direct power transmission and an authentic driving experience.
The 2-in-1 exhaust system is compact and light, optimizes performance and gives the bike a characteristic sound. The rear monoshock suspension with preload setting below the seat enables adaptation to different loading states.
The Heritage Classic 117 offers a successful mix of nostalgic design and modern technology. The 5-inch analog display combines classic style with digital functionality and facilitates the selection of the driving modes . Updated hand control elements support the integration of driving modes, traction control and cruise control. A USB-C connection keeps mobile devices charged while driving, and the adjustable brake lever enables an individual adjustment for optimal comfort.
For me, the Heritage Classic 117 of 2025 embodies the perfect symbiosis from the past and present. It offers the charm of a classic cruiser, paired with the performance and reliability of modern technology. In particular, the combination of the powerful Milwaukee-Eight® 117 engine and the well thought-out details such as the leather-related saddlebags makes you a real highlight for lovers of traditional motorcycles with contemporary demand.
The first Heritage models were delivered with the agile 107 Milwaukee-Eight motor. That was a very good combination, the successor had installed the 114 cubic engine until 2024. For me it was even more powerful from below, I was traveling a lot with the model and wrote a detailed report.
