Herzhausen-Asel-Süd: Nails strewn on the road – police are asking for information
That could have ended badly: 37 motorcycles and two cars from all over Germany drove through nails on District Road 59 between Herzhausen and Asel-Süd on Saturday, which strangers had apparently intentionally scattered on the road.
All vehicle drivers noticed the nails in their tires in good time. As it turned out, they had driven through a large number of nails that were spread across both halves of the road in two places on District Road 59. The police assume that they were deliberately scattered on the road by unknown persons. There are currently no indications that this could be lost cargo.
The officers are investigating suspected dangerous interference with road traffic. Dangerous interference in traffic is not a trivial offense. Intentional manipulation of roads or railways can lead to serious accidents. This is a criminal offense that, if convicted, can be punished with up to five years in prison or a fine.
The police are asking for information: Who noticed people or vehicles on the district road between Herzhausen and Asel-Süd from Friday evening to Saturday morning?
Who saw anything suspicious?
If you have any information that could help clarify the matter, please contact the Frankenberg police station on 06451-7203-0 or any other police station.
