A pleasant and relaxing tour through the Lower and Central Carinthia regions. Over around 180 km you will experience the beauties and advantages of biking in Carinthia . Starting from Lake Faak, the route leads via Sankt Jakob and Feistritz along the Drau through the sunny Rosental. Through the gunsmith town of Ferlach, past the Wildenstein waterfall, one of the highest free-falling waterfalls in Europe, we ride our bikes via Sankt Margareten to Völkermarkt.
We continue to Diex via a well-developed road. Diex has the reputation of being the sunniest municipality in Austria at 1159 m above sea level with an average of 2300 hours of sunshine. We continue biking via Brückl to the historic town of St. Veit an der Glan, which was the capital of Carinthia until 1518. The last section of our exit takes us past Glanegg Castle with its vineyards via Feldkirchen and along the idyllic Ossiacher See back to Lake Faak.
Setting up : from 8:30 a.m. in Faak am See at the pharmacy, Dietrichsteiner Straße 7, 9583 Faak am See.

A challenging tour across the border from Austria to Slovenia. The tour is approximately 165 km long and starts in Faak. A narrow and winding road takes us over the Wurzen Pass to Kranjska Gora. A little more leisurely, the tour leads to a former village of miners and hammer workers, to Mojstrana, the entrance to the Triglav National Park.
But we don't want to go hiking in the mountains, instead the path takes us further via Jesenice, past the most beautiful lake in Slovenia, Lake Bled, to Radovljica, a medieval small town with a view of the Karawanken and Julian Alps. Radovljica is now considered the capital of Slovenia for chocolate and beekeeping products. Shortly before Radovljica, in Lesce, there is the opportunity to fill up the (empty) tanks of the bikes and empty the full bladders during a break.
Via Podbrezje, Kranje and Tržič we head back towards Austria. Another challenge with tight curves lies ahead: the Loiblpass. The Alpine pass over the Karawanken takes you back to Austria. Past the Tscheppaschlucht and after crossing the Drau you reach the starting point in Faak again after a stop including a coffee break at the Motodrom Harley-Davidson®. The tour is demanding and demanding, but you will gain insights into the alpine beauties of Slovenia. Don't forget your passport or ID card.
Setting up : from 8:30 a.m. in Faak am See at the pharmacy, Dietrichsteiner Straße 7, 9583 Faak am See.

The tour for connoisseurs! 165 wonderful km are waiting for you. After starting at Lake Faaker See, we cross the outskirts of Villach. We continue towards Lake Ossiach, which we leave on the right for time reasons. To the right, the Landskron castle ruins tower above us, a renovated castle from the Middle Ages, very popular as an excursion destination with a bird of prey show and restaurant. Via Treffen we drive through the local valley to the northwest and continue along a winding road to Arriach. You are now in the geographical center of Carinthia.
The tour takes us via Himmelberg into the Nockberge and we reach the Prekowa-Höhe and Gnesau. At Patergassen we turn towards Bad Kleinkirchheim, the world-famous winter sports resort, whose ambassador is Olympic champion Franz Klemm. Ski World Cup races for women take place here regularly. There is a short break at the parking lot at the Kaiserburg valley station. We continue towards Radenthein, formerly a mining and industrial town and now the headquarters of the RHI Magnesita research center.
Along the north bank of the idyllic Millstätter See we reach Seeboden. The (empty) tanks of the bikes can be refueled here and snacks and drinks can be bought in the petrol station shop and supermarket. Seeboden is the turning point of our tour. It goes back to the hill above Seeboden, which is dominated by Sommeregg Castle. After a look at Sommeregg Castle (known for jousting games and the torture museum), we go to the Millstätter high plateau, from where there is a fantastic view of Lake Millstatt.
Via Döbriach and the “Glanz” hill we reach the Drautal, where we reach the Krastal on a road that is perfect for bikers in a beautiful landscape and with little traffic. Past the Krastal marble quarry, where the well-known sculpture symposium takes place every year, we go back via Treffen and Wernberg to the starting point at Lake Faak.
Setting up : from 8:30 a.m. in Faak am See at the pharmacy, Dietrichsteiner Straße 7, 9583 Faak am See.
Briefing : 9:40 a.m. – Departure : 10:00 a.m.
