IMOT is moving to the Munich Exhibition Center in 2022

Munich. Important news for motorcycle fans: IMOT is moving in 2022 – International Motorcycle Exhibition to Munich's Riem exhibition center. The new location offers the organizer various opportunities to expand the event and make it even more attractive. IMOT will run from February 18 to 20, 2022, parallel to the major travel and leisure fair f.re.e. With a single ticket, visitors can not only find out about the latest trends and highlights from the motorcycle industry, but also visit the travel, caravanning & camping, outdoor & sports, bicycle, Munich Auto Days, and Munich Golf Days sections. It's a win-win model for organizers, fans, and exhibitors that leverages synergies and opens up the offerings to an even larger target group.

For 27 years, around 60,000 motorcycle fans have been coming to the IMOT at the MOC event center in Freimann every February for three days to get in the mood for the upcoming biking season. From February 2022, IMOT visitors will be heading to the International Motorcycle Exhibition at the Munich Exhibition Center in Riem. IMOT Managing Director Petra Zahradka has mixed feelings about the move: „The MOC has been a home away from home for us for 27 years, so the decision was not an easy one. However, the new location offers IMOT completely new spatial possibilities and state-of-the-art conditions, both indoors and outdoors.“ At the Munich Exhibition Center, IMOT will have more than 20,000 square meters of exhibition space in two large halls at its disposal for presenting the latest innovations in the fields of motorcycles, scooters, and quads, as well as accessories and tuning.

Another advantage of the new location: The IMOT opens its doors at the same time as Bavaria's largest travel and leisure fair. The organizers are thus capitalizing on shared interests. „Being able to herald the start of the motorcycle season in southern Germany as part of f.re.e is a truly unique opportunity,“ explains Petra Zahradka. „This allows us to offer our regular audience access to an even wider range of products. Since many motorcycle enthusiasts are also fans of outdoor activities, sports, and travel—and vice versa—visitors can only benefit.“ Dr. Reinhard Pfeiffer, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Messe München, also welcomes IMOT's decision: „The International Motorcycle Exhibition is a perfect fit for f.re.e and perfectly complements the existing mobility axis with the f.re.e theme areas of caravanning & camping and bicycles, as well as the Munich Auto Days.“

Access to this comprehensive offering is provided by a joint ticket: starting in 2022, IMOT fans will have access to a total of four events and thus the opportunity to move freely throughout all halls – which of course also applies to traditional f.re.e guests with regard to IMOT.
