History lesson à la Reuthers:
In summer 2016 we're going to the land of the ancestors - on the "My Heritage" tour
Millions of people turned their backs on their homeland in the 19th century - and emigrated from the Anglo-Saxon region of Europe. They often went to the colonies in New Zealand and Canada, South Africa and Australia. Today they are scattered all over the world. The Reuthers team now invites you to a class reunion of those whose ancestors were once among the Anglo-Saxon emigrants: on the “My Heritage” tour.
This tour, designed with great attention to detail, takes participants into the world of their ancestors for 25 days. “With this new tour we would like to specifically address the global descendants of emigrants from the Anglo-Saxon region of England, Scotland and Ireland,” explains Hermann Reuther, Managing Director of REUTHER-ENTERTAINMENTS.
The program includes tourist highlights such as Stonehenge, Lands End and Scottish castles. The country is definitely steeped in history.
Three destinations on the tour have something special: A visit to the Davidson Cottage impressively shows where the Davidson's lived before they emigrated to the USA and opened the first Harley-Davidson® workshop there. The history of blood-related ancestors is also made clear in the Heritage Center in Queenstown, where it becomes clear what it meant to turn one's back on one's homeland and emigrate. And a trip into the world of children's fantasies is also guaranteed, because a trip to Robin Hood's Sherwood Forest is also on the tour plan.
