Ready to rumble?
15th International Edersee Meeting from June 27th to 30th, 2013
“Cool sound!”, “rich sound!”, “crazy performance!” but Harley fans don’t even talk about their favorite bike? Then it has to be the Edersee meeting! Like hardly any other event in the Harley calendar, the festival, which is taking place for the fifteenth time this year, stands for an excellent music program.
At the end of June it's that time again: From June 27th to 30th, thousands of V-Twin fans in Hemfurth in northern Hesse can look forward to pure concert feeling, because the organizers and Harley-Davidson Kassel have once again not missed the opportunity, in keeping with good tradition, to go even further with the event program. In order to further expand its reputation as a popular music festival in the region, a large number of different cover bands were once again hired.
As polarizing as it is unique: top act “Völkerball”, which, as a Rammstein cover band, is in no way inferior to the original in terms of sound and stage spectacle including elaborate pyrotechnics. There's also something for fans of rock'n'roll, country or classic metal to enjoy with top acts like "Boppin'B", "Ski's Country Trash" and "Jack in Black".
In addition to numerous other live bands, there is also a lot of action when it comes to motorcycles: in a huge steel ball, the motorcycle artists from “Globe of Speed” show breathtaking driving maneuvers that seemingly go beyond physics.
The dealer and customizer mile promises entertainment of a different kind, where the latest Harley-Davidson models invite you to test ride, as well as a great range of accessories for bike refinement. It's powerful on the campground at the dynamometer and decibel contest, where you can really feel the power of your bike on its cylinders.
Speaking of the campground: Festival-like you can also spend the night within the event area. Not only are there several thousand campsites available for campers, but there is also a convenient shuttle service to the event site.
A good reason for a long weekend is traditionally the unique parade over the dam wall, which hardly any participant is likely to miss.
Only when it comes to admission prices there is nothing new, because they remain family-friendly - for example at 30 euros for the entire weekend including the parade and free entry for children under 14 years of age.
