Ready to Rumble?
15th International Edersee Meeting from June 27 to 30, 2013
„Cool sound!“, „rich sound!“, „awesome performance!“ but the Harley fans aren't even talking about their favorite bike? Then it must be the Edersee Meeting! The festival, which is taking place for the fifteenth time this year, stands for an excellent music program like no other event in the Harley calendar.
It's that time again at the end of June: from 27 to 30 June, thousands of V-Twin fans can look forward to a pure concert feeling in Hemfurth in northern Hesse, as the organizers and Harley-Davidson Kassel have once again, in keeping with tradition, gone the extra mile with the event program. In order to build on their reputation as the region's hottest music festival, a large number of different cover bands have once again been engaged.
As polarizing as they are unique: top act „Völkerball“, a Rammstein cover band that is in no way inferior to the original in terms of sound and stage spectacle, including elaborate pyrotechnics. Fans of rock'n'roll, country and classic metal will also be in for a treat with top acts such as „Boppin'B“, „Ski's Country Trash“ and „Jack in Black“.
In addition to numerous other live bands, there will also be plenty of motorcycle action: in a giant steel sphere, the motorcycle artists from „Globe of Speed“ will perform breathtaking maneuvers that seem to defy physics.
The dealer and customizer mile promises entertainment of a different kind, with the latest Harley-Davidson models for test rides and a great range of accessories for bike refinement. The campground will be full of power at the performance test stand and decibel contest, where you can really feel the power of your bike on the cylinder.
Speaking of campgrounds: festival-style accommodation is also available within the event grounds. Not only are there several thousand tent pitches available for campers, but there is also a practical shuttle service to the event site.
A good reason for a long weekend is traditionally the unique parade over the dam wall, which hardly any participant is likely to miss.
The only thing that's new is the admission price, which remains family-friendly at 30 euros for the entire weekend including the parade and free admission for children under 14.
