KING OF CUSTOM – SPRING MEETING IN AUGUSTFEHN

The Spring Meeting will take place in Augustfehn from April 15 to 16, 2023.

First, a brief summary for those who are unaware, which included me until last year. Somewhere in the countryside in the municipality of Apen, which belongs to Lower Saxony, once a year everything is different from what one is accustomed to in this village of 3,000 inhabitants.

Then the time is when Börjes calls for the spring gathering of the biker community. It's hard to believe, but the biker community is really big, with thousands of motorcycles coming to this brand-neutral event. The main road is even converted into a motorcycle parking lot for the occasion, and anyone who wants to go to Aldi or EDEKA has to take a detour through the village.

For something like this to still be possible today, you need a really understanding community that is willing to support the event. In addition to test rides from various manufacturers, including Harley-Davidson, there will also be an extensive entertainment program.

The entertainment program includes the „Wall of Death,“ stunt shows, but the exhibitors are also part of the program, especially when there is a wide selection. In addition to exhaust manufacturers KessTech and Jekill & Hyde, you will also find Kellermann, which every biker is likely to be familiar with. They will be showcasing their latest LED lighting range. Wilbers suspension systems will also be there, offering high-quality, customized suspension systems with a wide range of options for Harley-Davidson motorcycles.

Of course, the tuning center is a must-see. For €50, you can have your bike's performance checked on the DynoJet test bench. Here's a quick summary of what else is on offer: Important! KING OF CUSTOM

The Custom Bike Contest for bikers from the region who have customized their motorcycles of all brands from the series according to their own taste and budget.

The custom bikes are displayed indoors in the underground parking garage of the Harley-Davidson workshop. The entrance is via the stairwell or via the ramp from outside.

Election of the King of Custom? You have the opportunity to actively participate in the selection of the King of Custom 2023 and ONE Ballot with your personal Number 1 into the ballot box. In addition, a critical jury will keep an eye on the bikes and contribute to the evaluation with a 50% share of the votes.

The jury members are: Rüdiger Knief (Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde) Jens Koch (BMW Freese), Keno Veith (The Black East Frisian Youth) and Noah Wilbers (Wilbers Products). Each ballot (available at the exhibition) will be entered into a prize draw. There is a voucher worth 100.00 euros to be redeemed at the Börjes Group. > So it's worth it. 

 Schedule, award ceremony, and prizes? 

The winner of the King of Custom Contest will receive a King of Custom Signet Ring worth approximately €500.00 in recognition of his achievement and for proud display in the community. The Top 3 King of Custom Bikes and their riders will also receive VIP invitations to the Wheels & Wake Festival at the Beach Club in Nethen from September 7 to 10, 2023. The top three bikes will be presented on stage with Helge Thomsen. 

The jury will begin its evaluation on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. The votes will be counted on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. The winner of the King of Custom competition will be announced on Sunday at approximately. 4:45 p.m. on the stage held at the festival tent.
