• 43-year-old has been dreaming of a Harley for years
• Roadster worth 13,375 euros was handed over by Harley-Davidson Cologne

(Neu-Isenburg, November 23, 2016) Won? I? A Harley? Incredible! David Oldenburg literally stopped spitting on the phone. The 43-year-old from Cologne actually only planned to visit Intermot motorcycle trade fair in the competition was a matter of honor, but the restaurateur and motorcycle enthusiast never expected to actually win.

On November 17th the time had come: David Oldenburg was allowed to sit on “his” new Harley for the first time, because the bike in his desired paintwork had arrived at Harley-Davidson Cologne: a roadster in Billet Silver and Vivid Black worth 13,375 euros. “A really cool thing!” was not just Oldenburg’s verdict with a broad grin on his face. Since the Roadster came onto the market in spring 2016, it has impressed customers and trade journalists alike. “A really good driving machine… two thumbs up!” read the press, “the most active Sportster variant to drive” and “a beautiful, genuine motorcycle … for a brisk, enjoyable ride after work.”

Its 1200 V-twin pushes the roadsters powerfully forward with 49 kW (67 hp) and 96 Nm. The stiff chassis scores with an upside-down fork and high-quality shock absorbers at the rear. “In terms of performance, the Roadster really has a lot to offer,” confirms Daniela Denz, Managing Director of Harley-Davidson Cologne, “plus this no-frills 'cafe racer' look - that makes a great package!” An attractive exterior and sophisticated Women and men love inner values equally.

David Oldenburg is really looking forward to the 2017 season, when he will hit the asphalt with his roadster in the Bergisches Land and the Eifel. He has been riding motorcycles for 23 years. In addition to Europe, he has already traveled through Africa and Asia on two wheels and was only too happy to take part in off-road races. 'Easy Rider' for the first time in my mid-20s , I've also been dreaming of a Harley,” the enduro fan admits frankly. “It has something to do with that relaxed feeling when you climb up, with the sound, the pressure from low revs and the feeling of freedom.” It sounds like a committed off-roader is becoming an enthusiastic roadster fan.

The Motor Company is happy for David and congratulates him on his first Harley-Davidson.
