LEAKED – HARLEY-DAVIDSON CVO MODELS 2023

There is new information on the Harley-Davidson CVO models 2023

This month, the possible Harley-Davidson CVO models Road Glide CVO and Street Glide CVO have already surfaced on the web. The pictures make a real impression, but it is somewhat surprising that the pictures were apparently leaked directly from the production facility of the Harley-Davidson factory in York, Pennsylvania, USA.

When I think about the alarm at Harley-Davidson when I received the information about the Low Rider S 117 heads will now have rolled at this number. It is suspected that it was employees from an external service company who actually had no business in this area of production. This can sometimes be expensive, as external companies usually sign a confidentiality clause.

New 121cui V2 engine and a new multifunctional instrument display

First there was TheFastLaneGarage only the two models with the 121 cui engine and now comes from the same photo series, but from proper_baggers the possible new CVO command center.

New LED lighting technology and one of the highlights will be the new BoomBox, or whatever it will be called, because its appearance is like a new and multifunctional instrument display. Harley-Davidson will certainly take the following path here and integrate the tried and tested speedometer displays into the new and huge screen.

The question will be what happens to the Rockford Fosgate Stage I Power system. The system would then have to work together with the new command center, they won't want to deteriorate, the system already makes a powerful sound. The touring windshield could be electrically adjustable, but it doesn't really look finished in the photos.

New 121cui V2 engine with variable valve timing

The 121 cui engine will almost certainly have variable valve timing, the rumor has been around for a very long time. With variable valve timing, I expect a new and superior performance in the upper revs compared to the 117cui. Although I think the 117cui is already really strong, it is superbly tuned and a lot of fun, more displacement would not be absolutely necessary, with just under 2 liters you are actually already well on the way. It's a very good sign that Harley-Davidson is continuing to develop the Milwaukee-Eight engine, which is now highly rated.

Will the CVO models get a new chassis in 2023?

If I now put one and one together and recognize the new upside-down fork in the photos, the large brake discs, where Brembo will do its work, there might be a surprise for the entire chassis. Of course, it would be a real hit if they finally did something about it. Why not install a Nivomat, as Wilbers has successfully done.

CVO Limited is set to be back in 2023.

The following is considered set CVO Limited, which did not exist in 2022, of which a few are expected again this year. My price forecast for the Street and Road Glide models is around €49,950. If they bring a completely new design, plus the refreshed engine, new chassis, new multifunctional instrument display, then I'm certainly not far off with my guess. The 2022 CVO models were still available from €44,995, plus bodywork etc.. The other side is, with all these new features, it's certainly easier to get one of them. The CVO models are not expected in large numbers this year, which is nothing unusual.

When will Harley-Davidson present the CVO (Custom Vehicle Operations) models?

And when will Harley-Davidson introduce the new Harley-Davidson CVO models present? Presumably they will bring the curtain down on the 120th Anniversary Party in Milwaukee. I can well imagine that they will lead the parade with the CVO and the 120th Anniversary models, easier than sending pictures around the world.

I wouldn't expect to see them here in Germany before July / August. Another interesting question is whether the label will say „Made in USA“ or „Made in Thailand“. It can probably no longer be ruled out that capacities will be split between the two countries.

If you ask a mechanic now, you'll hear that they do very good and precise work in Thailand, so it's probably more about the image, whether it bothers you if the CVO doesn't come from the USA. In the meantime, it probably doesn't matter anyway when you see where all the parts are delivered from. That's what a global market entails and if another big steamer gets stuck in the Suez Canal, nobody in either country will assemble a Harley-Davidson.
