And all Leatherman fans and outdoor enthusiasts can rejoice, because on February 7th the time has come: in keeping with the 40th birthday, fans in Europe now also have access to a very special and visionary place: GARAGE. GARAGE is an innovation hub where Leatherman engineers and designers test new ideas for products, polish old ones, and see how future tools can be improved. Here, the boundaries of innovation are pushed with the same drive, perseverance and technology with which the company was founded, by introducing limited, small series of new products.

LIMITED EDITIONS FOR REAL FANS

Everything that comes out of the GARAGE is released in a limited edition of less than 1,000 pieces - and will no longer be produced when the entire product is sold. What's special: Leatherman fans become part of the product development because their needs and feedback flow directly into the work of the GARAGE. This creates true rarities and collector's items for real Leatherman fans. This unique project is also a homage to Leatherman's past, in which Tim Leatherman created a new world out of his garage 40 years ago: He developed and manufactured the first multi-tool in his garage - hence the name GARAGE for it “Test laboratory”. Tim Leatherman's son Lee leads the GARAGE team.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Long before social media, hashtags and influencers - in 1975 - Tim Leatherman and his wife took Chau on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Europe. Equipped with only the essentials in a $300 Fiat, her adventure took her from the canals of Amsterdam to the mountains of Iran. But an old car has its own needs that Tim couldn't solve with his pocket knife in his pocket. This is how he came up with the idea for the first Leatherman - an unshakable multi-tool and the perfect travel companion.

LEATHERMAN EUROPE75: ON THE TRACES OF THE PAST

EUROPE75 is the first multi-tool from GARAGE for the European market. It is a modernized version of a pocket knife that accompanied Tim and Chau Leatherman on their journey through Europe. Influenced by the experiences back then, the EUROPE75 multi-tool impresses with 11 indispensable tools for on the go and therefore offers all the functions to be the perfect companion for every trip with its compact design.
