“Monster Truck is one of the few truly down-to-earth rock'n'roll bands... they're hard, soulful and strong.” – Slash

Since the release of their debut album "Furiosity" two years ago, the Canadian city of Hamilton, Ontario has held a permanent place on the rock 'n' roll map. With their extraordinary mix of groove, sludge, stoner and vintage rock, the Monster Truck quartet has not only gained a worldwide fan base, but also enjoys an excellent reputation among the big names in the music world. They have toured with Guns'n' Roses, Slash, Alice In Chains, ZZ Top, Buckcherry, Rival Sons and Vista Chino and have already appeared on stage at top international festivals. “Furiosity” was nominated for Rock Album of the Year at the Canadian Juno Awards and paved the way for the quartet to enter the international music market.

With “Sittin' Heavy” the long-awaited, brilliant successor is now being released, which Monster Truck will present live in Germany for the first time in March 2016 as part of three exclusive club shows. Monster Truck will play at the Rockpalast Bochum on March 29, 2016, at the Privatclub in Berlin on March 30, 2016 and at Strom in Munich on March 31, 2016.

The album is a magnificent hard rock statement on which the foursome's sound has audibly evolved. With each month on tour, the band grew closer as a community and as they wanted to think outside the box and learn, they also honed their playing skills.

“When we toured with Furiosity, we were lucky enough to play with a lot of big headliners,” explains guitarist Jeremy Widerman. “For example, when we opened for Slash, we noticed how precise he was with his wah pedal. We wanted to incorporate that into our own songs too. Another time we admired Alice In Chains, who harmonized so perfectly vocally. We then realized that we still needed to work a lot on ourselves in this area, so we did. There are so many little things to consider that can make you so much better.”

As with Furiosity, Monster Truck once again collaborated with their soundboard and studio guru Eric Ratz. The two-time Juno Award winner has produced albums for Billy Talent, Three Days Grace and Cancer Beats, among others, and is sure to be considered the new studio heavyweight thanks to his mixing desk wizardry on Sittin' Heavy.

“Sittin' Heavy” will be released on February 19, 2016 in Europe on Monster Truck's new musical home Mascot Records (Black Label Society, Black Stone Cherry, Joe Bonamassa) and worldwide on Dine Alone Records. At the same time, the European tour starts, which finally brings Monster Truck back to Germany.

zodiacZODIAC have been able to cement their reputation as an extremely playful live act in recent years, not only when they recently celebrated success across Europe together with Grand Magus, Audrey Horne and The Vintage Caravan, but also previously in the opening act for genre greats such as Orchid, Spiritual Beggars and Blues Pills, Graveyard or The Sword or as part of legendary open airs such as Hellfest (F), Freak Valley or the Rock Hard Festival, as well as an appearance at WDR Rockpalast.
After the quartet had formed around drummer Janosch Rathmer (Long Distance Calling) and singer/lead guitarist Nick Van Delft (two experienced and ambitious musicians were added with rhythm guitarist Stephan Gall and bassist Ruben Claro), "A Bit of Devil" was released in 2012 Debut album and was enthusiastically received by the European specialist press.
The second album “A Hiding Place” seamlessly continued the upward trend in 2013 and cemented Zodiac’s reputation as the best German blues rock formation. In 2014 they take the next step on their way to rock Olympus with “Sonic Child” and their first Europe-wide headliner tour just in time for the release in September. This upcoming tour will also be used to record Zodiac's first live LP. Fans of ZZ Top, Free, Thin Lizzy or modern acts like Joe Bonamassa, Howlin' Rain or Rival Sons, pay attention: Zodiac have ten extremely accurate arrows in their quiver, which will be fired both on record and live from September.
