Motor Bike Expo Verona 2017 Review
For the first time this year I went to Verona to the Motor Bike Expo, it is truly a very large trade fair for motorcycle enthusiasts.
According to official figures, almost 160,000 visitors were counted at the trade fair this year, which is a very extraordinary number of visitors.
There is a lot of action in the outdoor area
There was a lot on offer and there was always something going on in the outdoor area. The crossers on their specially prepared track, or stunts and other shows on the main square, there is no lack of action.
The weather cooperated, it wasn't warm and everything was frozen in the morning, but the sun came out, which was okay.
Food is always important, lots of typical Italian dishes, no one will starve here.
But what was actually interesting were all the exhibitors who filled eight or nine halls; all the major manufacturers presented their latest bikes here.
I was there for three days, but I didn't manage to see everything. Halls 1, 2 and 3 were enough for me, everything that had anything to do Harley-Davidson
What was particularly noticeable was that there were a lot of good clothes, T-shirts, boots, pants, basically everything you could use for biking.
Harley-Davidson Verona brought the entire MotorClothes collection to the trade fair, they really showed off something.
The Dark Custom theme and the latest Harley models were also presented accordingly; interest was just as great there as it was at our events.
There was also a large HOG There was therefore a lot of activity at the stand.
The friends from St. Petersburg presented themselves at the stand with the Harley Days St. Petersburg and advertised their event to members.
Paul Teutul Sr. and Mikey were in Verona
Paul Teutul Sr. from Orange County Choppers USA was there the entire weekend with his son Mikey , they had a large merchandise stand and signed autographs.
I went around the custom bikers with Paul on Friday; he was very interested in seeing what the Italians were putting together.
Paul loves that, the petrol discussions with other colleagues, and he also likes to take photos himself, especially of good paintwork, so sometimes the most beautiful models have to go to the side.
It's always a matter of respect; many were visibly proud when Paul suddenly showed up at their stand and talked intensively with them about their successful conversions.
You could say that the older the bikes were, the better.
Paul Teutul Sr. wasn't the only celebrity, in addition to various Italian celebrities, Terence Hill at the trade fair. There was also a short scene for a new film being shot, which I unfortunately missed.
He also rides a Harley-Davidson himself and his bike was on display at the trade fair with a special presentation.
There were very good customizers at the fair
Italy has very good customizers who don't have to hide, for example ASSO, which already won European Bike Week
Kodlin came to the trade fair from Germany with his extraordinary and internationally known bikes. His stand was in the hall of the Custombike Show.
I was generally surprised at how many Germans stayed in Verona, it's not exactly around the corner, but many also combined it with a visit to Verona and Venice.
Cozy little restaurants and the beautiful old town can be easily combined with the trade fair and it's something different.
But of course the extremely large range of information and also motorcycle accessories was fantastic.
Conclusion: You may not have to go there every year, but it is interesting to have been there once.
