Motorcycle thieves while on Magic Bike

In addition to numerous bikers and visitors, the Magic Bike event in Rüdesheim unfortunately also attracted thieves who were after the high-quality motorcycles.

A unique item was stolen

So far, four motorcycle thefts and two failed thefts have been reported to the police. On Friday night alone, the perpetrators struck twice on Rheinstrasse and stole a blue and white Harley-Davidson with the license plate KÜN-BD 9 and a black Harley-Davidson with the license plate HB-CQ 10.

On Friday evening, a motorcycle parked there was discovered stolen on Wilhelmstrasse. The Belgian license plate MANK 689 was most recently attached to the unique piece.

The fourth theft occurred in the courtyard of a hotel on Marktstrasse on Saturday night. In this case, the thieves stole a matt red and black Harley-Davidson with the license plate LU-BO 18. The total value of the four stolen machines is over 160,000 euros.

Theft was unsuccessful

An attempted theft occurred on Saturday night between 11 p.m. and 1:35 a.m. in a parking lot on “An der Ringmauer” street. Unknown people had tried unsuccessfully to steal a high-quality motorcycle from the manufacturer Dragster. In addition, on Saturday night, the perpetrators tampered with a car trailer in the Adolf-Kohl-Platz area on which two Harley-Davidsons were parked. However, there was no theft in this case either.

Thief wanted to relieve a stall and was caught and fled

In addition to the motorcycle thefts, there was also a theft on Rheinstrasse on Saturday night. At around 3:20 a.m., a security guard caught a young man stealing various items of clothing from a motorcycle dealer's stall.

The man who was caught then pushed the security guard aside and fled without loot over a wall towards Oberstrasse. Additional stolen goods were found in the area of ​​the escape route, which had obviously already been prepared there for removal.

The dark-clothed thief was said to be around 20 years old, around 1.80 meters tall, athletic and had a narrow face and short, dark hair. In addition, he is said to have spoken with a Dutch dialect.
