Dortmund Motorcycle Fair with new exhibitors
The Dortmund Motorcycle Fair will kick off in 2024 with a few special features. It will start on February 29 at the Westfalenhallen. The leap year sends its regards. For four days, everything in the exhibition halls will revolve around two-wheelers, accessories, customization, helmets, clothing, travel, and services. As a motorcycle-only event, the Dortmund fair has long enjoyed cult status.
New exhibitors and renowned brands will be attending MOTORRÄDER 24. For this reason, Westfalenhalle 2 will also be used. In the future, tour operators, biker hotels, and other tourist offerings will be grouped together there in an elegant setting.
The major manufacturers, tire industry, conversion specialists, and high-quality accessories are represented in exhibition halls 3 and 4. Almost all of the season's new products are on display there. These include popular brands that did not return in 2023. In 2024, they will fill Dortmund's two largest exhibition halls and present their latest models.
Pictures from last year
A great atmosphere, sports cars, fantastic one-offs, and classics can also be found in the club area of the trade fair. These stands are mainly located in exhibition hall 5.
Shows, sports, and special exhibitions are all part of the Dortmund motorcycle event. A successful start to the season is in store for over 100,000 motorcycle enthusiasts on site. A huge meeting place, petrol talk, test rides, emotions. Those who are there live can feel the enthusiasm for motorcycles and get first-hand information. The event is accompanied by reports, comments, and lots of likes in the online media.
Advance ticket sales for MOTORRÄDER 2024 are already underway. As before, box offices will be open in the newly built Dortmund entrance center. An additional entrance to Hall 2 can be used exclusively with the online ticket on your cell phone. Short distances and good service await exhibitors and visitors. Getting to and parking at the Westfalenhallen will also be quick and easy. Borussia Dortmund has an away game on the first weekend in March.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE – CAN I STILL RIDE MY MOTORCYCLE?
Coronavirus – Current situation and further information about Harley-Davidson and what is still possible, or what is not!

Due to the current situation, this post will be regularly updated with new information on everything related to Harley-Davidson!
It is currently becoming apparent that the coronavirus is spreading and that we need to be prepared for all eventualities. For some events, it is still too early to make a clear statement, while others have already been affected or the situation is still uncertain.
MMESSAGE FROM SATURDAY, APRIL 4, 2020
Motorcycling is not prohibited everywhere, as long as it is not a motorcycle trip.
Can I still ride a motorcycle? is currently one of the most discussed topics on social media. The most important thing is that before you set off on your motorcycle for tourist or leisure purposes, you should find out about the situation in your area. You can get the latest information on the social media platforms of the respective police districts in your region.
The regulations in Bavaria and Saxony are strict!
The situation is more severe in Bavaria and Saxony, where curfews are in place. Motorcycles are treated the same as cars in terms of transportation, but motorcycle trips are prohibited in Bavaria. The police will monitor this and take appropriate action depending on the circumstances.
In Schleswig-Holstein, for example, there is a ban on entering the country; anyone who wants to enter the country for tourism or leisure purposes may be stopped. Although motorcycling is permitted in Schleswig-Holstein, people are urged to refrain from doing so.
Post by the Kiel police from 03.04.2020 on Facebook
This also applies to motorcyclists, who can ride alone on the roads without having contact with other people, but should refrain from leisure rides out of solidarity and consideration. It is not forbidden to ride a motorcycle alone - even in times of Corona. The start of the motorcycle season should nevertheless be postponed in order to further minimize the risk of infection and to avoid accidents and the associated deployment. Link on Facebook
Avoid motorcycle meeting points!
You should especially avoid stopping at regional motorcycle meeting points. At some meeting points you will find restaurants where you usually get your coffee, the problem is, if there are gatherings at these places, the authorities will crack down and control them, if necessary blocking the parking lots completely. That would possibly be even worse for your meeting place than having to do without your Sunday income for a few weeks.
Riding a motorcycle alone is not the problem; it only gets complicated in a group. If you want to ride your bike to work, go shopping or take it to the workshop, you will be able to do so. The Harley-Davidson workshops are still available and continue to work.
Conclusion: Driving is fine, but excursions should be avoided! you can only appeal to common sense, how quickly do you pull away with the Glove times under the Snot nose long and then possibly at the gas station the tap, the next person can get infected, or even you yourself if it goes the other way round!
Stay healthy and help to ensure that the spit disappears as quickly as possible by exercising restraint!
MNOTIFICATION FROM TUESDAY 24.03.2020
HAMBURG HARLEY DAYS 2020
Hamburg is waiting to see how things develop, but there are various scenarios if the pandemic restrictions continue in this form until the end of June.
The health of everyone involved comes first and the first alternative would be to postpone the date. Hamburg was forced to do this years ago. It is a logistical challenge, but canceling the internationally popular event would be another hard blow for the Harley scene. In Hamburg, they are banking on time and will be able to assess the situation better by mid-April.
MNOTIFICATION FROM FRIDAY 20.03.2020

The organizer FH-DCE Super Rally® 2020 has decided to do so, far-reaching restrictions due to the coronavirus have forced them to make the decision in order not to support the spread of the coronavirus. The economic risk for the organizer should certainly not be underestimated. Mini Super Rally is being discussed as an alternative!

MNOTIFICATION FROM THURSDAY 19.03.2020
The Harley-Davidson Events
Wait until April 19, 2020
So far there have been no further decisions on the major Harley-Davidson events, we will have to wait and see. The current ban on events applies until April 19, 2020, so no further decisions are expected before this date. The situation will then be reassessed; the island of Sylt, for example, is still closed. As soon as the situation with the virus eases again, the situation will be different again.
Magic Bike Week, for example, will not make a decision before April 19, other organizers see it similarly. The coronavirus will peak at some point, and once it is over, the situation will quickly return to normal! It is therefore all the more important not to ride a motorcycle for the next 14 days and to follow the general advice in the interests of everyone.
MNOTIFICATION FROM THURSDAY 19.03.2020
Harley-Davidson stops production in the USA until March 29.
On March 18, Harley-Davidson in the USA made the decision to temporarily suspend production due to the corona virus until March 18 to March 29 to support the health of employees and further strengthen efforts to contain the coronavirus.
Facilities temporarily suspending production are York Vehicle Operations in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, Tomahawk Operations and Pilgrim Road Powertrain Operations.
MECLARATION FROM SUNDAY 15.03.2020
The islands in the north are now what they are, an island.
Now the reports are coming in thick and fast. The islands in Schleswig Holstein are sealed off from 6:00 a.m. on Monday morning. The border with Denmark is closed to tourist traffic on both sides. We've never experienced anything like this before, so we can only keep our fingers crossed that the spook will be over in four weeks at the latest. If it stays like this for much longer, it will be tight for the Super Rally and the Summertime Party.
Let's stick to the simplest rules and stay at home for now!
MECLARATION FROM SUNDAY 15.03.2020
UPDATE ON THE SITUATION AND RECOMMENDATION
In Schleswig-Holstein, all events were banned from Sunday and Sylt is known to be in Schleswig-Holstein. However, there is still some time until after Whitsun. Just keep calm and wait a bit, if you don't have the option of canceling your accommodation free of charge, you might want to talk to your accommodation about how they handle it. It is a special situation and there is no point in panicking. The world could look very different again by mid-April. Think positive and keep calm! It's the best time to take your time and clean your Harley.
MECLARATION FROM SATURDAY 14.03.2020
Update on the Super Rally
UPDATE SA. 14.03.2020
DENMARK CLOSES THE BORDER
Denmark closed its borders on March 14, 2020, which was already to be expected.
The situation will not ease before mid-April. Denmark generally takes its border protection very seriously and is a transit country on the way to the Super Rally. The recommendation is to wait and see! In contrast to Italy, we are about 10 days behind in the north and can hope that the situation will not be so extreme towards the end, the further north you go.
MNOTIFICATION FROM FRIDAY 13.03.2020
Summertime Party Sylt 2020
In Schleswig-Holstein, events with more than 1000 people have been banned with immediate effect until April 10. This would not yet affect the Summertime Party. The organizer is in close contact with the authorities, at the moment it looks like the situation will be reassessed from April 10th.
MREPORT FROM THURSDAY12.03.2020
Summertime Party Sylt 2020
The Summertime Party will take place on the island of Sylt from June 5 to 7. The problem with this event would be the Friday, when the party takes place in the Kursaal. The event on Friday in the Kursaal is currently sold out, and the restrictions have so far been limited to 1000 people or more. Registration for the party is already closed and far fewer than 1000 guests are expected to attend the event.
The current situation is as follows:
The organizer contacted Harleysite today and informed us that the event will take place as planned. Should the situation worsen, we will inform you immediately!
MELDING FROM 12.03.2020
SUPER RALLY 2020 SWEDEN
The Super Rally is wobbling!
The Super Rally is scheduled to take place in Öland Sweden from May 27 to 31, 2020. Yesterday (12.03.2020), the Swedish government issued a decree banning public gatherings and events until further notice. However, this does not yet mean that the event in May is canceled, the organizer has announced that the regulation can be withdrawn as soon as the situation eases again.
It is recommended to wait for the next 14 days to see how the situation with the coronavirus develops.
There is the question of what will happen in Denmark in particular, as it would be the transit country for the Super Rally, where the borders close very quickly and if the Danes are afraid for their citizens, the bar will fall. It's easier to get into Germany than out. So wait and see!
MELDING FROM 12.03.2020
Euro Festival Saint Tropez 2020
The situation is similar in France, where public events of over 5,000 people have been banned. At the present time, this would also include the Euro Festival 2020 affected.
Here, too, it is still a case of wait and see, there is no official cancellation of the event, so from this point of view the event is also somewhat different, if you leave out the big stage on the beach, you are actually on a large vacation resort with accommodation.
Harley-Davidson has informed me that should there be any changes, I will be informed immediately. Also wait and see what happens!
MELDING FROM 06.03.2020
Harley & Snow in South Tyrol
Harley & Snow has already been hit, the area has been declared a complete risk area, the organizer was banned from holding the party a week before the start.
As soon as there is more information, we will keep you up to date!
All information without guarantee of correctness!
