Dortmund Motorcycle Fair with new exhibitors
The Dortmund Motorcycle Fair will kick off in 2024 with a few special features. It will start on February 29 at the Westfalenhallen. The leap year sends its regards. For four days, everything in the exhibition halls will revolve around two-wheelers, accessories, customization, helmets, clothing, travel, and services. As a motorcycle-only event, the Dortmund fair has long enjoyed cult status.
New exhibitors and renowned brands will be attending MOTORRÄDER 24. For this reason, Westfalenhalle 2 will also be used. In the future, tour operators, biker hotels, and other tourist offerings will be grouped together there in an elegant setting.
The major manufacturers, tire industry, conversion specialists, and high-quality accessories are represented in exhibition halls 3 and 4. Almost all of the season's new products are on display there. These include popular brands that did not return in 2023. In 2024, they will fill Dortmund's two largest exhibition halls and present their latest models.

A great atmosphere, sports cars, fantastic one-offs, and classics can also be found in the club area of the trade fair. These stands are mainly located in exhibition hall 5.
Shows, sports, and special exhibitions are all part of the Dortmund motorcycle event. A successful start to the season is in store for over 100,000 motorcycle enthusiasts on site. A huge meeting place, petrol talk, test rides, emotions. Those who are there live can feel the enthusiasm for motorcycles and get first-hand information. The event is accompanied by reports, comments, and lots of likes in the online media.
Advance ticket sales for MOTORRÄDER 2024 are already underway. As before, box offices will be open in the newly built Dortmund entrance center. An additional entrance to Hall 2 can be used exclusively with the online ticket on your cell phone. Short distances and good service await exhibitors and visitors. Getting to and parking at the Westfalenhallen will also be quick and easy. Borussia Dortmund has an away game on the first weekend in March.

ST. PETERSBURG HARLEY DAYS 2020 HAS BEEN CANCELED
The organizer in Russia has now decided to cancel the event in St. Petersburg due to COVID-19. They considered it for a long time, but access for European visitors is still possible until August 22, and in the interest of all, the decision to cancel has now been made. The Harley-Davidson Event Team has announced that the date of the 2020 H.O.G. Rally in Slovenia will be postponed by one year.
The Slovenian government has banned all mass gatherings and movement of people in public areas to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). As a result, the organizer has rescheduled Rally Portoroz 2020 to the new date of June 10-13, 2021. Harley-Davidson is committed to protecting its employees, participants, and the local community.

Motorcycling is not prohibited everywhere, as long as it is not a motorcycle trip.
Can I still ride a motorcycle? is currently one of the most discussed topics on social media. The most important thing is that before you set off on your motorcycle for tourist or leisure purposes, you should find out about the situation in your area. You can get the latest information on the social media platforms of the respective police districts in your region.
The regulations in Bavaria and Saxony are strict!
The situation is more severe in Bavaria and Saxony, where curfews are in place. Motorcycles are treated the same as cars in terms of transportation, but motorcycle trips are prohibited in Bavaria. The police will monitor this and take appropriate action depending on the circumstances.
In Schleswig-Holstein herrscht beispielsweise ein Einreiseverbot, wer aus touristischem Anlass oder zu Freizeitzwecken ins Land kommen will, wird möglicherweise aufgehalten. Für Schleswig-Holsteiner ist das Motorradfahren zwar erlaubt, es wird aber an die Vernunft appelliert, es zu unterlassen.

Dies gilt auch für Motorradfahrer, die sich zwar alleine auf den Straßen bewegen können, ohne Kontakt zu anderen Menschen zu haben, aber aus Solidarität und Rücksichtnahme auf Freizeitfahrten verzichten sollten. Es ist nicht verboten, alleine Motorrad zu fahren – auch nicht in Zeiten von Corona. Der Start der Motorradsaison sollte dennoch verschoben werden, um das Infektionsrisiko weiterhin zu minimieren und um Unfälle und damit verbundene Einsätze zu vermeiden. Link auf Facebook
Motorradtreffpunkte meiden!
Besonders sollte man vermeiden, an regionalen Motorradtreffpunkten zu stoppen. An manchen Treffpunkten findet ihr Gastronomie auf, wo man sich sonst immer seinen Kaffee holt, das Problem ist, sollte es zu Versammlungen an diesen Plätzen kommen, werden die Behörden durchgreifen und kontrollieren, gegebenenfalls die Parkplätze komplett sperren. Das wäre für euren Treffpunkt möglicherweise noch schlimmer, als ein paar Wochen auf die Einnahmen vom Sonntag zu verzichten.
Wer alleine Motorrad fährt, ist nicht das Problem, erst in der Gruppe wird es kompliziert. Wer mit dem Bike zur Arbeit fährt, einkaufen, oder es in die Werkstatt bringen möchte, wird das machen können. Die Werkstätten bei Harley-Davidson sind im übrigen erreichbar und arbeiten weiter.
Conclusion: Fahren geht, aber Ausflüge sollte man unterlassen! man kann nur an die Vernunft appellieren, wie schnell zieht man mit dem Handschuh mal unter der Schnotternase lang und danach womöglich an der Tankstelle den Zapfhahn anpacken, schon kann sich der nächste infizieren, oder eben auch du selbst, wenn es andersrum läuft!
Bleibt gesund und helft durch Zurückhaltung, das der Spuck so schnell wie möglich wieder verschunden ist!

Die Entscheidung ist gefallen, leider ist die Super Rally 2020 abgesagt worden. Der Veranstalter FH-DCE Super Rally® 2020 hat sich dazu entschieden, weitreichende Beschränkungen wegen dem Coronavirus hat sie zu der Entscheidung gezwungen, um die Verbreitung vom Coronavirus nicht noch zu unterstützen. Sicherlich ist auch das wirtschaftliche Risiko für den Veranstalter nicht zu unterschätzen gewesen. Mini Super Rally ist als Alternative im Gespräch!

Harley-Davidson Vertragshändler schließen vorübergehend die Stores
In Deutschland haben sich einige Harley-Davidson authorized dealer, dazu entschlossen, die öffentlichen Geschäftsräume zu schließen. Die Werkstätten arbeiten dagegen regulär weiter. Den Versandhandel betrifft es derzeit noch nicht, wer also in der Zeit schrauben möchte, sollte sich online bedienen, oder vorher beim Dealer anrufen.
Es ist bisher noch keine einheitliche Abstimmung erfolgt, deshalb schaut am besten auf der Webseite von eurem Dealer nach, bevor ihr dort hinfahrt. Telefonisch werdet ihr eure Fragen ebenfalls während der Geschäftszeiten beantwortet bekommen und an den Bikes schrauben sie auch weiter, solange es den Mitarbeitern gegenüber zu verantworten ist.

Die Harley-Davidson Events
Abwarten bis zum 19. April 2020
Bisher gibt es keine weiteren Entscheidungen zu den großen Harley-Davidson Events, man muss es noch abwarten. Bis zum 19. April 2020 gilt das derzeitige Veranstaltungsverbot, vor diesem Datum erwartet man eher keine weitere Entscheidung. Die Lage wird dann neue eingeschätzt werden, beispielsweise auf Sylt ist die Insel dazu noch geschlossen. Sobald die Lage mit dem Virus sich wieder entschärft, sie die Lage wieder anderes aus.
Die Magic Bike Week beispielsweise wird vor dem 19. April keine Entscheidung treffen, andere Veranstalter sehen das ähnlich. Der Coronavirus wird irgendwann seinen Höhepunkt haben, wenn der überstanden ist, wird sich die Lage schnell wieder normalisieren! Darum ist es umso wichtiger, die nächsten 14 Tage mal nicht Motorrad zu fahren und sich im Interesse aller, an die allgemeinen Hinweis zu halten.

Harley-Davidson stoppt die Produktion in den USA, bis zum 29. März.
Am 18. März hat Harley-Davidson in den USA die Entscheidung getroffen, die Produktion wegen dem Corona Virus vorläufig bis vom 18. März bis zum 29. März einzustellen, um die Gesundheit der Mitarbeiter zu unterstützen und die Bemühungen zur Eindämmung des Coronavirus weiter zu stärken.
Einrichtungen, die die Produktion vorübergehend einstellen, sind York Vehicle Operations in Pennsylvania und Wisconsin, Tomahawk Operations und Pilgrim Road Powertrain Operations.

Die Inseln im Norden sind jetzt das, was sie sind, eine Insel.
Jetzt kommen die Meldungen Schlag auf Schlag. Die Inseln in Schleswig Holstein sind ab Montagmorgen ab 6:00 Uhr abgeriegelt. Die Grenze zu Dänemark ist beidseitig für Touristenverkehr gesperrt. Sowas haben wir noch nicht erlebt, wir können nur die Daumen drücken, das der Spuk in spätestens vier Wochen wieder vorbei ist. Wenn das länger so bleibt, wird es für die Super Rally und die Summertime Party eng.
Halten wir uns an die einfachsten Regeln und am besten erstmal Zuhause bleiben!

UPDATE ZUR LAGE UND EMPFEHLUNG
In Schleswig-Holstein wurde ab Sonntag alle Veranstaltungen untersagt und Sylt liegt bekannt in Schleswig-Holstein. Bis nach Pfingsten ist es allerdings noch etwas Zeit. Einfach die Ruhe bewahren und etwas abwarten, wer keine kostenlosen Stornierungsmöglichkeit zu seiner jeweiligen Unterkunft hat, sollte eventuell mal mit seiner Unterkunft sprechen, wie sie es Händeln. Es ist eine besondere Lage und in Panik zu verfallen bringt gar nichts. Bis Mitte April kann die Welt schon wieder ganz anders aussehen. Positiv denken und die Ruhe bewahren! Beste Zeit und die Harley in Ruhe zu putzen.

DÄNEMARK SCHLIESST DIE GRENZE
Dänemark hat die Grenzen am 14.03. 2020 geschlossen, das war bereits zu erwarten.
Vor Mitte April wird sich die Lage nicht entspannen. Dänemark nimmt seinen Grenzschutz generell sehr ernst und ist ein Transitland auf dem Weg zur Super Rally. Empfehlung ist abwarten! Im Gegensatz zu Italien sind wir in Richtung Norden ca. 10 Tage zeitversetzt und können hoffen, das zum Ende hin, je weiter man im Norden ist, die Lage nicht so extrem anhält.

In Schleswig-Holstein sind ab sofort Veranstaltungen ab 1000 Personen bis zum 10. April untersagt worden. Das würde die Summertime Party bisher nicht betreffen. Der Veranstalter ist in engem Kontakt zu den Behörden, im Moment sieht es so aus, das die Lage ab dem 10. April neu bewertet wird.

Vom 5. bis zum 7. Juni findet auf der Insel Sylt die Summertime Party statt. Das Problem bei dieser Veranstaltung wäre der Freitag, wenn im Kursaal gefeiert wird. Aktuell ist die Veranstaltung am Freitag im Kursaal ausverkauft, die Beschränkungen beziehen sich bisher auf Größenordnungen ab 1000 Personen. Die Anmeldung zur Party ist bereits geschlossen und es werden weit weniger als 1000 Gäste zu der Veranstaltung erwartet.

Mai 2020 soll in Öland Schweden die Super Rally stattfinden, gestern (12.03.2020) hat die schwedische Regierung eine Verordnung erlassen, die öffentliche Versammlungen und Veranstaltungen bis auf weiteres untersagt. Das bedeutet aber noch nicht, das die Veranstaltung im Mai abgesagt ist, der Veranstalter hat Mitgeteilt, das die Verordnung sobald die Lage sich wieder entspannt zurückgezogen werden kann.
Es wird empfohlen, die nächsten 14 Tage noch abzuwarten, wie die Situation mit dem Coronavirus sich weiter entwickelt.
Es ist besonders die Frage, was in Dänemark passiert, es wäre ja das Transitland zur Super Rally, dort gehen die Grenzen sehr schnell zu, wenn die Dänen Angst um ihre Bürger haben, fällt der Balken. Man kommt eher nach Deutschland rein, als raus. Also abwarten!

Euro Festival Saint Tropez 2020
In Frankreich sieht es ähnlich aus, dort wurden öffentliche Veranstaltungen mit einer Größe von über 5000 Personen untersagt. Davon wäre zum heutigen Zeitpunkt ebenfalls das Euro Festival 2020 betroffen.
Hier ist es bisher ebenfalls so, das man noch abwarten muss, es gibt keine offizielle Absage zu der Veranstaltung, so gesehen ist die Veranstaltung auch etwas anders gelagert, wenn man die große Bühne am Strand weglassen würde, befindet man sich eigentlich auf einer großen Ferienanlage mit Unterkünften.
Harley-Davidson hat mir Mitgeteilt, sollte es Änderungen geben, wird es umgehend eine Information dazu geben. Ebenfalls abwarten was kommt!

Harley & Snow in Südtirol
Harley & Snow hat es ja bereits erwischt, das Gebiet ist zu einem kompletten Risiko Bereich deklariert worden, dem Veranstalter wurde eine Woche vor dem Start der Party die Durchführung untersagt.
